  1. I've bounced my mojo score up and down a lot for testing purposes, and I have yet to see any opponent with a listed mojo reward larger than 21. I assume it's also possible to find 11's, but I haven't managed that; I have seen 12's. That corresponds to a mojo range of about ±100 for Seasons. Maybe it's percentage based and the range gets larger the further one goes beyond 1000, but that would only increase the likelihood of getting mojo reward numbers that are insufficient to actually reach 8000 / 10000 points by the end of the month. In any case, I'm pretty sure it's not ±1000 anymore. (Although I'm not positive it's ±1000 in the arena for a fresh account either. It's definitely not ±15 levels for them, but rather ±20% if I remember correctly, so a level 5 account's first set of opponent will be between levels 4 and 6 as in @Forman's screenshots above.)
  2. You "only" need to gain 7000 mojo to get the girl(s) since the second set of shards is on tier 35, but yeah, otherwise this is spot on for the current parameters. If the feature goes on the live server like this, the great majority of all players won't be getting there. Over on Discord we got this comment from the big man today: I'm sensing some mixed signals here since even "small player pool" definitely doesn't explain why level 300+ players were getting matched with sub-level 50's at the start when everybody was still at 1000 mojo, including lots of other possible opponents between levels 300 and 50. Maybe there's some biasing towards closer-range opponents built in which will only show up on the larger main servers, but I doubt it. Anyway, putting arena-like level restrictions on Seasons would go some way towards allowing everybody to progress, but even that might not be enough since you still need sufficient numbers of other, similarly strong players to be moving up in parallel with you to retain beatable opponents, and naturally the field is going to be stretched out across the whole mojo range during the month. If you end up being the only level 300 player of a given strength who has made it to 6000 mojo...
  3. I would hope that the PoA PvP tasks will be adjusted for the fact that there will only be 65 possible free battles in a day now (41 league, 24 seasons). IMHO the much bigger problem is now going to be people who simply run out of winnable battles altogether, especially if PoA continues to be late in the month when the majority of players will be far along the seasons path. Tanking your mojo through losses to get easier opponents was pretty much penalty-free in the arena; that won't be the case with seasons.
  4. I got into quite the snipe fight. This was the case 20 minutes before the end: apjmb and lwdono then one-upped each other for third place, leading to with about 10 minutes to go, when I started my push, thinking 920k or so would be good and safe. Apparently I wasn't the only one thinking that as the player who ultimately finished 3rd went for it out of nowhere as well, and apjmb was also alert. By the time I finished getting to 920k I was...fifth. So, frantic further clicking ensued. A bit too much it turns out as 5th and 6th weren't around to defend their scores. Still a decently cheap 25-shards orb in the end, I spent about 435k book XP for it. Could have been even cheaper, but I max leveled Harmonia straight away (that took 50k alone), which I normally don't do during Hard Training-style contests. Not enough XP for the regular contest that also rewarded it, BTW, I finished only 7th there.
  5. I'm not sure I understand - there have never been PoA rewards that allowed clearing the PvP tasks more quickly. Do you just mean that the PvP tasks will take so long that there won't be enough time for the rest, including villain wins tasks? I'd say being forced to claim combativity is the least of our worries with that.
  6. Yep, strong agree. The worst part is that paying kobans to refresh is highly likely to result in players simply finding out that there are no more beatable opponents in their range at all. Having some amount of natural refreshes available won't help them get around that roadblock either, but at least they're not wasting kobans for nothing then.
  7. That depends on how the game handles players who don't participate in the feature. It does seem to exclude completely inactive people (unlike the arena, where you can meet players who disappeared years ago), but if a ton of casual players don't do anything and their score just idles at 1000... I'm pretty sure it's +200 mojo for each reward tier, so #45 should be reached at 10,000 mojo, the second half of the girls shards at #35 for 8,000. I think the great majority of players won't get there if things aren't seriously rebalanced before release. After all, you can only progress as long as the game always spits out at least one beatable opponent among your selection of 3. And you only get ~11,520 mojo points to gain for free (720 battles in a month x ~16 mojo on average for a win), so you don't have much room for losses given that each loss essentially costs you two battles; the loss itself and the subsequent win just to get back to your old mojo total. And yeah, I've been paired with at least one level 5 opponent on my (very weak...) level 277 test account, so as it stands it seems to be done strictly on mojo.
  8. Yup, can confirm that that's bugged.
  9. And so he did: 22.88 average for the winner, 22.42 for me, kind of disappointing that the gap was this large. I did have to do 5 boosted opponents at the end of the season, but only a couple of them were people I reasonably could have battled at a better time - with 48 hours to go after the Legendary Contest's Day 1 I was so far ahead on my tokens that I could afford to go a whole day unboosted and without fighting to save some kobans. 2 players had their only unboosted windows during that day, 2 others were never off boosters, and 1 mid-level player had his only window very early in the season when he wasn't a high enough priority for me to fight him yet (lesson learned, name noted). Anyway, the two clear misses probably cost me about 15 points, and bad RNG during the week added another 15-20 "lost" points. But even with those I would have finished over 100 behind the lead. Then again, considering I didn't expect to do better than 3rd anyway... The small discrepancy of my finishing slightly ahead of Yuzuru aside, I would say the top 5 positions all went according to the players' historical results, arguably even the top 7. The top 15 this time were: KH / KH / KH / Ch / Ch / HC / KH / HC / HC / KH / HC / KH / KH / Ch / HC. 19.86 average needed for a top 15 slot this time, pretty middle of the road, and 17.99 for top 30.
  10. D3 with 102 players: admiral HC 457 2nd place x5 Seravee KH 452 2nd place x2 Vic Ch 451 12th place x2 Korpati1 KH 447 1 win Gergly HC 444 13th place x1 raffostar HC 444 9th place x1 sban HC 443 19th place x2 HiddenNinja KH 443 4th place x4 migel Ch 442 9th place x1 ... etalon78 KH 441 4th place x2 I'd be lying if I said that this doesn't look promising... The low levels: 3-way tie for 27th at level 427 here, continuing the trend of my recent positions, with 412.5 as the median.
  11. My first LC daily win (for orbs): About 270 tickets plus natural amounts of combativity and energy, no kobans used.
  12. They've changed the formula for calculating the required power. If you're on level 5 or higher on the first Place of Power it's harder now than it used to be.
  13. Kind of, but not really. The rewards we got on January 1 were repeats based on the previous week's closing positions, there was no additional reset.
  14. As a bit of an experiment I went all out for this LC's pachinko day: Almost entirely from GPx10 - 49 orbs and 110 spins for ymens - plus 130m straight donation at the end to guard against snipers. The total cost of the paid spins was 4.67 billion, the item returns amounted to 3.67 billion. I'm pretty broke after that, just 150m cash left plus 250m or so in unsold equipment. I probably won't be doing that again, at least not in a girl shards bracket, given that I've essentially spent 1.13 billion to turn the 50 shards from Day 1 into a MPx3 orb (which I value at 540 kobans). The cost and effort would have been okay for an x6 orb, but not really for an x3. As the results show I could have gotten a top 10 result for my needed 50 shards for about 400,000 points less, or around 50 fewer paid spins. The net cost of a paid spin was about 20 million (42.5m out, 23m back), so not doing those 50 spins would have made things pretty much costless for me as I wouldn't have incurred the 1 billion deficit. And of course I've now reached the point at level 427 where my pachinko spins are getting so expensive that straight donations will actually be more cost-efficient for the next LC... I'm not quite sure how I'm going to handle that, since I do like the opportunity to upgrade my equipment.
  15. What the heck is a "solo contest" supposed to be? Something like, umm, Places of Power perhaps? Anyway, I'd also say that "remove the thing that I don't like" barely qualifies as a suggestion beyond its feedback component.
  16. Based on the quality of most of the submissions since the in-game news push, let's not.
  17. Finished 8th with about one and a half league refills for just under 300 kobans. Good thing too as that was as far as I was willing to push it since all my remaining opponents are currently boosted. Hopefully I'll get the remaining 50 shards today. Edit: Screenshot. First place had 538k, so pretty close among the top 4/5.
  18. I kind of doubt Observer_X has sufficient Mythic x3 and x6 orbs for that, given that his play style will make it very difficult to be top 10 or better in Legendary Contests or to progress far enough in Path of Attraction on a regular basis (and of course the majority of the Mythic orbs are in the paid koban-requiring path there anyway).
  19. Not "players", just you. I agree that it was pretty delusional to be thinking that an event revival would see a girl repeated that was a mere throw-in to begin with and who immediately became a permanent pachinko girl afterwards. The whole point of Sady getting added to last year's October Orgy was to give veteran players something to do if they already had all the regular villain girls from the revived events. Who in their right mind wouldn't expect to see that happen again with a new girl one year later?
  20. And done almost entirely on energy, it looks like, as ToF lists only 51 weekly villain wins for him. There's a Nutaku player on Discord who apparently buys nearly every bundle that comes around and consequently sits on huge amounts of energy (I think he has mentioned 10,000+ at one point); I guess your contest leader is doing much the same thing and decided to cash in today.
  21. (September, August, July, June, May, April, March, February) I only needed 4 pachinko girls for this month's Orgy Days, and Lady Luck was very much on my side as they all dropped within just 28 orbs. Overall total now 8.4% (48/573). I had 71 orbs to spend, so that's a nice carryover amount for November where my Epic Pachinko will be quite a bit more crowded again.
  22. Well yeah, I've seen that banner, too, I just don't have any account that's close enough to test it. My "regular" test account happened to be somewhere in world 9, so that didn't take much effort (but over 10,000 kobans) to check on the world 10 unlock.
  23. Although I can confirm that the 3rd one opens at the start of world 10, so the new in-game graphic is correct and the feature article is now outdated. The same should go for PoP #2 - start of world 6, not end - although I haven't verified that. (#1 still opens at the start of world 3 even though it's themed on world 2, but maybe they'll change that now, I dunno.)
  24. Got Gardevulv as my 3rd girl from MyP, needed the free spin + 114 orbs (of 139 available). 27 books (8 Magazines, 7 Books, 6 Encyclopedias, 6 Spell books) 44 boosters (9 Ginsengs, 2 Jujubes, 24 Chlorellas, 9 Cordyceps) 43 avatars 1 girl
  25. I'm always amused when I come across this player: (Pop quiz: How many zeroes in the name?) HH.com 933095
