My initial thoughts (I am going to buck the "oh noooos" trend): Lets get the bad ones out of the way. Putting XP behind a cash paywall is very, very bad. I am L434 and need about 150 K XP for a level. Seasons give out about 40K behind the paywall. I fall behind 1/4 of a level per month unless I pay cash. Level is everything in this game. All F2P players just got nerfed. Very bad for me because I am right on the edge of D3 1-4s. If I fall 3 levels back they will become rare. 6 levels back and I can kiss them goodbye. Girls behind a cash wall. Now for the positives. Arena was boring so any change is welcome. Ability to keep earned rewards unclaimed will add strategy elsewhere in the game. I.e. Save energy rewards for POA or contests. Reduces busy work. A 10 x 1 hr counter bar is excellent. Open Seasons 3/day and you are done! No wasted refreshes because of silly stuff like the need to sleep. (See forum post The Great Mojo Experiment by @ZackMacKenzie.) A girl in 2 50 shard chunks (and hopefully 2 x 50 on a second) as a reward. Only 1 girl on the free path. Only one (mostly harmless) reset a month. Thank you from the Americas. The whole thing looks doable in a month. I cleared the 1st level with just over 10 kisses. YMMV. For some reason I had very high mojo under the old system. Just years played I think. Replacing the 1 MyPx1 orb per day with other stuff is a plus for me. I do not need any more avatars. I can always use kobans and combativity. My worry is how mojo only plus a "soft reset" will work. Will I eventually end up with so many unbeatable opponents completion becomes impossible? Overall, for me, I think it is a medium/big improvement. If they took the XP out of the paid path I would be even more positive.

Crushed it! After weeks in the 5-15 wilderness I once again bath in the warm smugness of a D3 2-4 finish. 22.07 pts/fight. Back above 22 for the first time in weeks! TBH less "crush" and more "just barely". Yes, it was only a 4th, yes, I was only 6 pts ahead of 5th, but I will take it. I have ended up 5th by single digits in the past. My turn this time. There was only 27 pts between 5th and 2nd. My only loss this week was against Yuzuru. I needed 2 crits to beat him and it only worked 2 out of 3 times. A bit lucky. Two fewer crits against Yuzuru or catching 1 fewer unboosted player and it would have been 5th for me. Pretty happy.

I think you are a little too rigid. Top 1 is not always relevant: I have a top 1 in D3 but it was a fluke. No-top-1s is not always a sign of weakness: @_shal_ was lethal long before he got first his top 1. My point was if you have 13 players all of whom have 2/3/4 place finishes competing for 3rd and 4th statistics says some of them are bound to be lucky / good.

Now that I have had time to analyze my D3 it is kind of interesting. I am 21st highest by level. That is the highest I have ever noted. There are only 2 players with multiple D3 wins (6x and 3x). Looks promising right? Should be 2 doable spots in the top 4? Nope. Of those other 18 players above me 12 have multiple 2-4 D3 finishes. 75% of the players above me have placed 1-4 in D3. No superstars but that is one solid pack of contenders.

I have not been reporting much for the last month for 2 reasons. 1) I have been encountering a LOT of RL and 2) I have been doing really badly. After over a month of scoring over 22 pts/fight every week I have gone a month where my best effort was only 21.88. The top end of my brackets does not look any stronger lately but what I think I see is a LOT more perma-boosting at all levels. I expect to see a few perma-boosted top players but I see even more in the low and mid bracket. What I think is happening is: Flood of MPx1 and EpPx1 and GPX10 orbs from all sources but particularly POP = a lot of good/junk L boosters even for L 3xx players. So high level players can afford to stay good boosted more. Say I have a bunch of perma-boosted players 20 levels higher than me competing for 2-4. I can NOT beat them if they are boosted but they CAN beat each other. Net extra 4 - 5 point loss per fight to me. And low/mid bracket players are thinking "I do not want to use any good boosters because it will not get me any more points but I have this pile of junk purple. Might as well throw some on." 4 x L chlor on a -30L may not get them any points but it does subtract more from my score than from the +20L's score. TLDR; more boosters = less chance to snipe unboosted = less chance to make up a level difference. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it.

After 26th on day 1 I threw all my garbage at day 2. All in the last 20 min: 10 GPx10 (1 small gear upgrade), 147 MyPx1 (no girl, 20ish leg gin/cord), 1.2G cash, 2 hrs lost sleep. None of these are normally convertible to shards/girls so, ... a win? I ended up 2nd. I was only about 100M ahead of 5th. I might have been able to pay 50M less but that would have risked being bumped to 5th and I just want to be able to walk away from this dumpster fire of an event. I am not too upset with the cash cost. I have been having trouble spending all the cash coming in anyway. I was going to hoard 4 or 5G and then try for a top 4 in Leaderboard but 4th there only nets about 1/4 of a girl so I think this is the better use.

I hate this event. Went to sleep 8th with 4 1/2 hours to go. Woke up 26th. Thanks a lot kinkoid.

I got the 2 boss girls available to me with free combativity but about 50 of those shards were from a 100 drop. I then turned to EPx1 and picked up 4 more girls with 50 orbs. In the average range. So +7 on the event for 0 kobans. This puts me very close to 400 girls. But now I have to leave happy, happy, joy, joy OD land for nasty LC land.

My regression past the mean continues. Today: 50 orbs for 4 girls. All time: 385 orbs for 33 girls.

Second 100 drop in as many months after a year of none. I like 100 drops, I like the Housemaids, I like getting a few flowers, I like being able to move on to the next girl in OD. This is nice.

Last week I had a lot (7?) of multi-D3-winners in my league and so decided to go cheap. 2 rounds of purple focused on picking off as many of the iffy wins as possible without regard to maximizing points, then garbage the rest of the time. 4 x L Chlor is amusing. You win by 300 ego!! You get 21 pts!! I ended up 5th, I have no idea by how much. Maybe I missed a chance at top 4. Probably not.

Can someone who knows enlighten me? What is the pool for MyP girls? Same as for EpP? EpP plus? Is there any way for me to know what my pool is? I have not got a possible girl since I ran my EpP pool down to 12 (now up to 17 with the current event) about 5 days ago. I still have 163 (and climbing) MyPx1 orbs. Do I have to blow them all next chance I get or risk not being able to use them?

Big brain time! In addition to the endurance stat allowing you to go for longer not being weighed down by the 110M will make you much lighter on your feet. Look out opps.

OK, the regression to the mean continues: 95 orbs for 5 girls. Harem size up to 376. Totals so far: 60/5, 88/11, 29/4, 63/4, 95/5 or 335 orbs for 29 girls. 11.5 per, it was 10.0 per until @DHarry brought me to the attention of the luck gods. I still have well over 100 orbs left but I think I will hit pause for a while. There are only 12 girls left in the pool and 3 are problematic. I have 96 shards on Elina (doh!) so getting her would be bitter sweet. Yeah, she no longer gazes accusingly at me from the partials list; boo, I spent an orb hit for 4 shards and a flower storm. The other 2 are girls I have avoided given a choice. But if it comes to that they will be welcomed as all my girls are welcomed.

My luck turned. 63 orbs => 4 girls. Total: 60/5, 88/11, 29/4, 63/4 = 240 orbs, 24 girls.

Got a surprise 4th in D3. I had given up because there where so many really effective players, even in the mid-levels. At 1 point there where about 15 players I had no hope of beating while they boosted. I stayed boosted for the xp and over the week I caught all but 2 of the problematic players unboosted. 3 of those where tough even then. I also got lucky with a lot of KH judge appearances. I had to fight the last 2 boosted in the last hour and I caught some more luck and only lost 2 of the 6 fights, 2 fewer than expected. I got my 1st top 4 14 weeks ago and this is the 9th. (I sat out 1). I am pretty happy with that but I am not happy with my pts/fight. After pretty steady increases every week for the last 8 weeks this week saw a big drop to 22.06. I blame a bunch of 380ish players I could only do for 20-21 pts. I have not done the bracket analysis for this week because I am busy doing the POA schedule. (I can't believe I am saying that about an idle porn game. ) Good luck to all in the league and POA!

Done with this. 16 GPx10 to start. I was planning to use my 131 MyPx1 orbs as well but the RNG decided to have some fun with me. After just 5 orbs Yuna dropped. My 1st ever MyP drop. She was the only girl in my current MyP rotation. No more MyPx1 spins for me. Switched to using 88 EpPx1 orbs. I was not aiming for 1st but the gap between 1st and 5th was so small (about 15 orbs worth) and I thought I needed a 10 orb cushion on 5th anyway in case of server lag, and I have been trying to use more of my EpP orbs lately. So 1st. Counting the LC, MyP and EpP drops thats 14 13 girls and I still have almost 200 EpPx1 orbs.

Decided to burn my 131 MyPx1 stash for a crack at LC. Booster, booster, booster, avatar, Yuna. Since she was the only girl in my MyP rotation I can not use my remaining orbs.

Went to bed 13th with 5 hours to go, woke up 27th, nothing for me. I wrote a bunch of stuff but I ended up deleting it. IMO LCs are the single worst thing in the game. I hate 'em.

Not going to post a screenshot because it is too sad. (See @Slynia's post above if you must.) Fought the whole week, 0 losses, no big mistakes (other than just not being as good as some), and ended up 5th, 111 pts behind 4th. <sad snowman22 noises>. I made 22.310 pts / fight, my second best showing so far. 4th scored over 1 pt/opponent more than me. I expected to loose to @Yuzuru (4th) but @wong7lee (3rd) was a surprise. His previous best showing in D3 was 2nd. The lessons learned are: 6 people competing for 1 slot is way tougher than 12 competing for 3 slots. A 1st can be a fluke (me) and get thrashed by a solid 2nd. On the positive: my pts/fight average continues to trend up, I got max XP, I learned a few things and I think I know where to look for more pts.

I recommend against this. If there are rare (or even epic) (or legendary for high level players) girls on bosses in an OD I say take 'em. You just hit some bad luck, it will pass. But I do not know your situation or play style so YMMV. I currently have 64 shards on Lopussy from free combativity. I used to love ODs. Now it is bitter-sweet. No mission girl for me and only 1 unclaimed girl on a boss, but it is still fun getting a 12 shard drop. At least I will probably get in a day or 2 on Nike.

All chuffed with my D3 2nd last week I open up my new league and see @govenants and @Slynia topping the list. (77? 99 wins between them.) I am 14 places back by level. So much for a chance at top 4. I put on the purple anyway, pick off 4 unboosted higher level players and go for breakfast. With coffee and breakfast in me donning the purple starts to seem like a mistake. The top 2 spots are taken. Probably there are another 2 multi-D3-winners in the 13 slots above me. I check the list looking for other D3 winners for forms sake. Crap. Position 3 has 5 D3 wins. Only 3 rows down and only 4th is still open. Should have checked first and just gone orange. But ... next player with a D3 win was me 13 slots down. Above me with my 1 fluke win there are 5 players with D3 2-4 place finishes. All 6 of us will be focusing on that single, juicy 4th. I think his is a spreadsheet plus a white chicken situation.
