Due how italian adjectives conjugates, the adjective "Anziana" can be both attached to the mage part or the noun. "Anziana" it's also a double meaning word, that could be read as "very very aged" or "high ranked in a career", but the first meaning is more common when the professional context isn't explicit in the tense (and 'mages' doesn't exist, so you don't have references).
