Moreover, if a villain would really start to drop kobans, then I agree with the fact that probably the end of game development would be near. If memory serves me right, a dev in a prehistoric post (can't remember when or who, should search the entire forum and don't have time) talked about the possibility of introduction of item crafting, so I deem more probable a future villain dropping something similar to "item craft points", to use in a new, dedicated screen.
