Not sure, if there is a concept like "common sense" - but you probably mean, that people play against something what most people do (and think it's the best way to play it), is common sense, and if so, just let me say two things: Yeah, i understand your feeling of being perplexed and little weired (it's most of the time the same feeling for me, but I am trying to be more open and less evaluative) and secondly, you of all players, are someone who is obviously playing against common sense (no offense!), cause you are not spending some of these precious kobans to gain a small advantage (and most likely a lot of people are perplexed too when they hear how you are playing the game)

No offense taken. In truth, I see the behaviour you described in a slightly different manner, although I understand:

Indeed, some people might say it's against common sense to refuse to spend kobans even in situations where such spending would result in a return of even more kobans.

IMHO, I'm not simply playing against common sense. As I see it, I am fighting against the way the devs wish to push the players to play the game, because it is a thing I hate. As I said elsewhere, the devs have every right to design the game the way they wish, including their need to pay their bills (unless their need becomes greed, but this is entirely another matter, also taking into account that we as players have no data to do the accounts in their pockets), except when they design parts of the game to constrain the players to play it in the way they wish.

Other players could object that between the two things (playing against common sense and playing against the way driven by the devs) there is no significant difference, but obviously I disagree.

Wouldn't it make more sense to look for a game that is intended to be played the way you wish to play it? I can't help but think you have some puzzling priorities in how you've decided to spend your time, considering (based on your forum output) playing this game hardly seems to entertain you, let alone satisfy you, let alone make you happy.

And if this is some kind of "fighting the injustice of the world" self-actualization trip for you, there are surely more worthwhile targets for that out there than a disposable entertainment product and its creators.

Why do you play Hentai Heroes? You talk at length about how you're playing it, or at least trying to, but I'm at a loss about the 'why'.

First and foremost, I continue to play because I started to play, and one of the things I personally hate above all others is to start something and not continue it until the end. I deem this as the most important reason, but there are others: fundamentally, the part I dislike main in the game are the play mechanics, but I still like the hentai graphics (personally I consider the quality one of the best I have seen), and I like also the story of adventure mode (not all parts, but some made me really laugh, plus I like to see hentai versions of normal anime characters), and uncovering girl's affection scenes and poses. The excessive dependence of the game on fights does not make me crazy, but neither does it make me scream at the miracle: the rewards simply seem to me too unbalanced (but here we return to the subject of mechanics and others already dicussed aplenty).

Overall, apart the mechanics and the attitude of the devs (and some of the girls, but i suppose, being this subject to personal tastes, many players have this issue), there are still parts of the game I like a lot . As you may have read in one or two of my old posts, unless the game changes to the point of totally exhausting my patience, or there is in my personal life some change for the worst (unfortunately, a possibility that I cannot overlook), the base plan is to keep playing until I will be able to get a full harem, a thing that obviously will happen a lot of time after, in an unspecified moment of the future, the devs will have announced the end of the game development.

I hope this is a good enough answer to your "why".

Anyway, regarding being happy and satisfied, I do not devote my entire playing time to HH. When I have free time to play and am not occupied in answering forum posts, I make rounds to other games, both online and offline (and both porn and normal). And besides this, although the majority of my free time is spent in front of an old PC, I have also other interests.

reducing to this "most important reason" - I ask myself sometimes "when is the best time to stop plaing a game that has no end?"....

It has no end up to now, but I prefer to think it will have, one day. IMHO, should this not be the case, many players would lose motivation, and, apart this, I deem improbable that the devs will have resources (mental and economic) to carry on the development of the game ad infinitum. Look at the most successful MMORPG, World of Warcraft: it started in 2004, and the last expansion is of more of a year ago, and some time ago the devs had to offer the first 20 levels free to attract players. Sure, it is a quite different game and it is a 14 years period, but at the same time, with all due respect, I doubt that Kinkoid is at the level of Activision/Blizzard...

Well, you underestimate the power of boobies. Wow has no boobies and related action.

I thought Family Guys Quest for stuff would be done for years ago. When I quit, there were already so many characters used. When will it end? I don't know but I still see updates ready for the next event so I'm assuming it still lives. As long as there are 'new' girls being drawn, this will go on longer than most of us.

Well, as I said, WOW is also a different game. Regarding your other example, I must admit my deep ignorance, as I didn't knew of its existence before you mentioned it.
