I literally wrote the (single-word) fix into the Discord bug report channel after finding it here: 

But a chat channel is so underwhelming ineffective for bug reports, no wonder that nothing happens and the game remains buggy as hell.

I fixed it on my side with a custom userscript :

Via developer tools one can also fix the `chat.js` via source overrides. While that is okay, it does not help if the chat remains broken for most other guild members. Since the guild is for some players one major aspect to keep playing the game, this bug is quite fatal IMO, now left in place for another weekend.

"investigating", as there would be anything open to investigate when we reported the fix everywhere we could.

Does someone have any secret channel/idea where/how to communicate closer with KK when bugs are too obvious and (should be) trivial and fast to fix, or when I have a fix prepared? I am extremely frustrated lately and loose motivation playing the game as of the massive and increasing amount of major bugs, and similarly loose motivation to report any bugs, since I feel like I am ignored just everywhere, regardless whether I am posting here, on Discord (sure, as serious reports are moved up into nirvana in hours) or ingame support. To me it feels like KK is not able anymore (probably never was) to manage this game, with its increasing amount of features, released untested and left all buggy for months or forever. I am close to stop playing the game because of this, so looking for the last sight of hope whether I can better help to change this awful situation.

There is a channel for Mods to communicate with KK and Darcyz (PSH Discord Mod), zoopokemon and some other Mods report there a good amount of Bugs more directly to Sandman.

There was some days ago a short chat at PSH Discord to this:

I had pointed Rosso some weeks ago to the Forums Thread of the Labyrinth and it seems he had took a look there, but if he do it this days too... I don't know.

The answer from mimir to the broken chat report was something I didn't know should I cry or should I laugh, so I decided to post it. 🤪

I hope you can restore your motivation to play the game. It would be very sad to loose you. 🙂

Not sure whether Rosso really reads the forum. He says so, but then he ignores everything what is written there. When the "balancing" (nerf) of the Laby was on test server, I repeated clearly that they should instead fix the stats and bubble relic (the only one we knew for sure was broken that time), to make it naturally easier, and of course fix this completely broken class roles. I saw a quote from Rosso like "I read it, interesting discussion going on there", probably this was when you pointed him about it. But until now, a month ago, after I reported it at Discord as well 2 weeks ago or what, after someone else reported it already, nothing happened. Instead they now talk about the Pachinko V2 and extending the Laby, while introducing more major game bugs all over the place. These internal technical/development procedures are so completely broken, shocking and fascinating.

Hmm, last time this happened (jep, the chat was broken already a few months ago the very same way), it was fixed within a day, silently, not after a whole week with a release. Given that it is a single word which needs to be replaced, it is quite negatively surprising that KK is not able to fix it just now.

I don´t  ignore you.. you just posted at 1 am and since I´m the only mod here atm you´ll have to wait for a bit I´m afraid .. ask @OmerB  or @Karxan about me ignore guys with post restrictions ;)

(there´s usually a reason for people having a moderating tag..some humbleness goes a long way)

Okay, I'm in a club with a very quiet chat so I hadn't even noticed this issue until the fix for it was mentioned in today's patch notes, so I'll proceed with caution here.

Is it still not working for a significant number of players?

Have those who mentioned the patch not doing the trick for them made sure to clear their cache and cookies, log off and back in etc. before confirming their chat was still broken?

In the meantime it is working again here as well, not sure what was the trigger. The related script is loaded with version string (https://www.hentaiheroes.com/js/chat.js?v=70486987) which should invalidate really all (asset) caches, so a different HTML document must have been shipped to different clients, which is strange. However, should be solved or solve itself soon for everyone.

Thanks for the confirmation. Alright, then problem solved, hopefully.

Incidentally I had a brief exchange with one of my clubmates to congratulate him for his top 4 just a few minutes ago, so chat is working for me too. ^^
