Not a bad "crop" for the available girls! Let's see how things go but possibly going for a few targets! The Pachinko "crop" looks pretty good. Indeed, Shadow Astis caught my eye too 🤤 But there are other great ones! This is what I see instead of the background in the game. Wasn't there enough complaints about that last time? Obviously, during the display it is even impossible to see anything, moreover, the constant and non-stop shaking of colors just annoying, it starts to hurt my head. It's time to make a warning for epileptics when entering the game as when watching new Star Wars. In short, had to hide all the adblock, hopefully next time guess to make a change of backgrounds once in a few minutes. I just see the regular christmas thematic pic and now a new orgy thematic pic and they interchange, which is not bad at all. Kind of less static. A problem that escalates when the new and/or "best" (read most powerful) girls are/might be the worse looking of all the ones available, like the current event (IMO, of course). I'm no artist and english is not my main language, but I'll try express it best way I can. Let's try to define the terms by which we are going to discuss it (again, an artist could bring some corrections here). I'll name them style, technique, portrayal, and aesthetic. I'll stick to these terms to have a coherent way to go on with this conversation. Their meanings may overlap but I'm going to use them anyway. -- By Style I mean that general artstyle used - manga, western comic, caricature, etc. Technique is how and how good it was drawn. Anatomy, shading, composition - all goes here. Portrayal is about character soul so to speak. Composition, poses, emotion and how they were drawn - that feeling, that idea of a character and the scene seeps through here. And Aesthetic value depends on your taste, and to be fair to all participants, it needs to take into account how artist who drawn it views it, and what is there is to appreciate among those who share that particular taste. To say it in another way, it's about how good it was drawn and in what style, and what was there to taste and how good it tasted. First two objective, and second two subjective. -- So, with that said, let's look at girls from the Wicked X-mas event. Style - I'm not an art pro to name it exactly, but close enough to general Kinkoid style. Good or good enough. Technique - I'd say it's great. Artist knows how to draw. Character detail, the shading - seems great. Great, especially for this sort of a game. Portrayal - well, to me it looked odd. Girls, their emotions and poses felt cringy. Some characters more than others. (Except Jordan) Aesthetic - I want to say "It was good enough but I didn't like it". I guess most naysayers focused on didn't-like-it part. -- Two new pachinko girls - Melissa and Selene. Melissa is... good. Technique is a bit different and so is Style, but otherwise it's very close to other girls we have. For example, apart from comments about aesthetics, Far West Girls looked good. Selene is not so good. That mix of manga and shading in girl unlockables stands out from other kinkoid works but not from anime-girl style in most general sense. I guess, it boils down to what Kinkoid-style is (or was ). Portrayal felt flat, and it belongs to certain young-anime-girl aesthetic that has no appeal to me. -- Two new Orgy Days girls - Kryll and Holiday Maybe it's just me, but Kryll's first pose looks unfocused. So, a technique problem there (or it's problem of how it looks in this particular game). Looking at all poses, style and portrayal took a step from what you expect form Kinkoid. I'd say Style can be compared to Melissa and Far West, but portrayal is different - it looks good with Melissa but somehow wrong or not good enough with Kryll. Holiday... Well, in short, to my eyes it's a Wicked X-mas again with style, technique and portrayal problems - all three. Much less of aesthetic value for me here. -- As consumers we want more of the same. When we discovered this game and liked it, we liked that particular Kinkoid-style. If Kinkoid-style changes, it wouldn't be the same for veterans of this game. -- To anyone who survived this wall of text - thank you for reading. I only hope that the shard drop keeps up on Holiday (which, again with my luck, was placed in the villain with the tier 2 girl I like less of all the ones that were introduced with the new villain tiers), as I am already at 38/100 , and I could really use some extra shots at Pandora Witch. It's surely possbile, the problem I see is that with more than two previous events merged into one, the orgy days are destined to become a chaos so high that the game servers will melt. To not speak about the new players that are destined to not understand what the hell is going on, with three or more events they didn't even see before already merged into one: even if they don't care of the event background, they probably would get discouraged seeing 18-20 or more girls to obtain in five days (unless they are seriously willing to become game whales). By the way, maybe it's just a insignificant workaround, but should you find it useful, my advice is that, if you have idle times online, then keep waiting in the Arena screen, that does not have the switching background of the main screen. The only other alternatives with this advantage are the club screen (the main one from the town or the menu, not the list in the Tower of Fame) the adventure/world screens, the player profile screen (that are not as useful as the arena screen for waiting) and the champions screen (but obviously only if you are taking turns to fight the champions during the event). That discussion started with ... well discussion about new x-mas girls. A lot of people noticed that some of the girls or some of their poses looked "weird" or gave a feeling, that "something is off". People tried to express themselves and find out why it feels that way in the first place. So it started with discussing styles, pointing out mistakes, etc. Examples from previous event were brought. In the end it was basically at the point that " Yeah, well, there're some anatomy mistakes. And this "fish-eye" perspective in some poses wasn't really successful. Nothing too critical." and discussion died out. Then the Epic Days Event introduced Melissa and Selene, which instigated a new round of discussion. And when finally Holiday and Kryll were added discussion reached the point where the problem became obvious. They(Holiday and Kryll) are simply lack quality. It was a tendency that reached its final point. Quote Just look at the Kryll's 3 star pose. That's simply not a pose that can exist in this game. All this years artists tried their hardest to fit girls into this vertical rectangle and now we see this. It's unacceptable. The art quality is the selling point of this game. Just compare this new girls and the girls from "Magical Girls 2019". I think the difference in quality should be obvious. And you can't just say it's the style difference.
