I might have underestimated how bad this would be for me. I'm currently 72nd in my league, which means I'm neither low enough to demote back to S1, nor high enough to get decent-ish rewards. I'm not at all okay with getting 36 kobans and 196K ymens and staying in this league I don't belong to. The problem is, it might be too late for me to realize that. I lose almost all of my fights, even with good boosters, but that still gives me just enough points to stay out of range of demotion (but nowhere near enough to reach the higher tier).

Should I just stop doing my fights for the next 3 days, even if it means sitting on a good deal of daily xp, and hope that 15 guys or so win enough points to pass me by so I can demote? Or should I buckle up, keep doing the best I can, and hope that I end up 12 ranks higher? Tough call. No fun either way.

My advice is to take your losses this week. Go for xp. You realized too late that you'd better demote. I doubt you'll drop in the bottom 15 this season. Go for demotion next week.

That makes sense. There's half a dozen players still at 0 points and another half dozen at barely 300-ish anyway, so with 993 pts already (yay! lol) I probably won't drop enough even if I stop fighting now. Might as well take the xp I can get. Thank you!

it is difficult for me to remember how hard it was starting out, it's like asking me to tell you about my days in kindergarten way back when

well just keep plugging away and it will get better if you stay at it9_9

Don't worry @DvDivXXX. When leagues were just a tenth weeks old, I kept bouncing between Sexpert I and Sexpert II (and later between Sexpert III and Dicktator I) for weeks. In time you will gain the league measurements and will be able to improve your strategy. Call this week part of your "trial and error" phase. As you surely know, with experience often comes better understanding.

If you are 72nd with good boosters I would go for the demote. No guarantee. I once spent 3 days in the highest possible demote position waiting for the lowest possible non-demote to move. They never did. I was 5 points below them so I got zero points for the last half of the week. But I did demote. On the other hand the previous visit to the same level I piled up about 20% of the points of the eventual winner and still demoted. Doing about half my fights right to the end. No way to tell. Good luck.

Have you done primarily strong or weak opponents so far? My impression is that most players front-load their week with the battles they can do best in, so most people will score fewer points in the second half of the week. If you've focused on the harder opponents instead, you're likely to rise.

I suppose it also depends on how large the points difference between 60th and 72nd actually is right now. (Ditto for the difference between you and the first demotion rank. Positions alone tell very little.)

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I've already started following @Chthugha's advice, but I really appreciate the additional perspectives.

I started the week with the weaker opponents, but there were very few of them, so I switched to the opposite approach pretty quickly. As I said in my previous reply, when I was at #72:

I'm at #64 right now, with 1,318 pts, and #60 has 1,388 pts. Meanwhile, there are still 22 players below my previous point total of 993 (and this a 100 player league). So it looks like fighting anyway was the only option left when I started asking the question, because I no longer had a shot at demoting anyway. I might make it into the 46-60 range now, having scrapped a few wins here and there and with extra points from the many, many losses still come. It will depend on how much the guys currently at #60 and above will rise.

What's for sure is that I'm literally out of my league in this League. I have by far the lowest level (98 as of this writing), and at least half the pool has more than twice that. I'll try my best to snatch a decent-ish reward anyway, and then I'll go for demotion next week I think (unless I end up in a weaker pool, or I power up like crazy in the next few days). In any case, it's good to learn this kind of lesson early on, I'm glad for that at least.

At your current level 98 i suggest you keep fighting ..............at your level it doesn't take many points to move up a level, than you buy

as many stats points as you can, hopefully you have the ymens to do that............you should be able to move up 3-4 levels per week at this point

if you maximize your stat totals you will be competitive in your league very quickly...........ego and level isn't as important as you think..........

if you have the right stats you can beat many more players than you think you can

Yup. I've actually just broken the three digits; level 100. I used to take about 2 levels a day, now it's more around 1 level and some change, but it still adds up pretty quickly.

Nope. I've made it a big priority lately to max out at least my main stat, and I can barely maintain that. The other two stats are still far behind, and I don't have enough cash left to level up my harem for income anymore (which was my initial priority). It comes and goes, and I'm adjusting as I go along.

Anyway, I'm sitting at rank #54 in my league right now, so there's a decent chance I'll end up "in the money" by the end of the week. We'll see.

Also don't forget the importance of your club bonuses. I gave an eye to your club, and saw that apart the number of members and the money, all the bonuses are at level 10 or 12. Moreover, I saw members with a great difference in levels, and IMHO this is quite awkward, despite the fact that lower level players progress quicker, more than 300 levels between the top and the last player gave me the awkward (and, I hope, wrong) impression that high level players are sitting on their thrones expecting low level players to deposit their kobans to increase the club bonuses. As I see it, unless you join (as I had the luck to do, but I was more or less at level 350) a full fledged club it would be better to be in a club where you grow along your comrades, more or less at the same pace. Just my opinion here, though.

Thank you for that, that's solid advice. You're right, my current club has a weird dynamic. There isn't much communication at all, so I wouldn't know what strategy the leaders have or used to have, but I'm guessing it's more or less "whatever happens happens" right now. I'm not complaining, as I joined more or less at random, and they let me in despite my low level. The bonuses, while far from optimal, are still much higher than what I had in my previous clubn so it's good that I've found them, at least for now.

I'm actually expecting to join another club very soon (I'm just waiting for their final confirmation later today, fingers crossed). It's pretty different as I've chosen this one specifically for a variety of reasons, including their rules, their upgrade strategy, and more importantly the good vibes I've got from them. I've talked to one of their officers beforehand, and I would see myself going the distance with them (if/once I join them ^^).

First week of being in the D1 league and looks like I'll be ending around 60-65th place, probably gonna be just shy of the 300ish koban reward.  Still I'm boosting my stats every chance i get, and my girls are just about topped off on exp to be on my level as well, so I'm bound to do better next week.  I don't honestly care about finishing in first, hell I don't care if I even make it to D2 right now, that's a future goal.  If I can make a nice profit a week off the league I'm happy  I'd settle for 45th or above right now.

I do have a few questions though.  Equipment wise, what's better to go with, single stat or rainbow stat?  Likewise if monostat is best, should I go for just in my class, or all the mono stat equipment?  I think I heard something like each slot is designed for only one type of mono stat so you can't load up all 6 spots with your specialty.

Also are the champion 5 star girls the current best girls?  I've got two legendary girls so that's not as important too me.

champion girls (5star) are the best; top rainbow seems to be the best, but a lot of people do a mix, like 2 mono (your class of course, no other) and 4 rainbow or something like that

what you probably heared about the slot is the EVP-reward, there is only one slot for a mono in your class (i.e. 3 mono slot (different classes) and 3 rainbow slots)

Managed to get a sneaky 2 points above everyone else to get to sweet 16 (was risky af though). ✌😋 Another strange league where the majority only rush it towards the end, while the first few days are kinda slow. Also, congrats to @Shal for getting 2nd place! 👍

Thanks. :) The evidence:

Wouldn't even have needed the two refills at the end to close it out, and still would have finished in the top 4... What a strangely weak bracket. Did my usual combination of 12 rare and 8 epic boosters throughout the week.

So, off for another tanking session in D3, and then the week after I'm planning to attack D2 revamped as a KH player. Charm just doesn't cut it with the revised league scoring - I'd estimate that I would have easily gotten 6600 as KH up there, just through the better crit bonuses, and going all out on booster usage would surely add at least another 100 points. In other words, I could well be competitive for first place soon or even now. Incidentally, this was the first week I was actually above the average level in a D2 bracket, if only slightly. (I forgot the exact numbers, but it was something like 43 lower level players, 5 same and 54 higher at the time I checked.)

Anyway, got all three KH 5* legendaries maxed and ready (and took 4th place in the weekly affection race last week along the way, which was nice), and the fourth 5* will of course be coming over the next few days, just in time for next week's league.

Last week In D3 I barely made it into 16-30 (30th by 45 pts).

This week in D3 I barely made it into 4-15 (13th, 50 pts ahead of 16th). My highest finish ever!

I made a tactical error and ended up having to buy a almost full refill and waste most of it instead of buying just what I was missing. 15th had been moving up faster than I was so I stopped paying attention, let my boosters expire, and started planning to glide down into the middle of 16-30. Then in the last 3 hours 15th stalled and at T-20 min it looked like if I re-boosted and bought my missing challenges I would have a shot. Worked. :P

I think I ended up 4 x orange, 3 x green for the week. Still in the profit range wrt kobans but not by much. (Cost 960, gain over 16-30 about 1150).

I am pretty happy with the finish particularly as it puts me over the amount of kobans where I do a EpP spin. I will wait for the next casino contest for that.

As is traditional here is a happy snowman22:

This week I managed a 3rd place, so happy with this outcome. I was boosted most of the time but not always with the best boosters, get an only loss and 6585 points in a 102 players D3. I could have had more points, but I doubt I could have get first place, my club mate BenBrazke (lv402) finisted first with 6777 (or more) and he was max boosted from start to end.

For this new league I am again with @casey. I expect him not to be always boosted or he will be a tough rival, and in additioin I have also some other fans of the boosters in my league ...

I should get a top 4 again if I use the same strategy.

Will do! I ended up at #57 in my S2 league, so barely in the bracket for decent-ish rewards (for my level), but I'm getting stronger day by day and also joined a much better club, so now this week's S2 league seems to be... actually in my league. 😛

Thanks again for all your support and advice, guys.

i may follow the advice given in the old saying "if you can't beat them, join them"..........i'm thinking of changing my specialty from hardcore to know-how

i have 2 good know-how girls in Norou and Any which should make a good basis for a strong know-how battle team9_9

the last few seasons it seems that know-how players have had a slight advantage according to an analyse my team leader @Chthugha has made
