Hmm, we were in the same D2 bracket last week and I can't say I recall your unboosted stats as being anywhere near enough to threaten the top spots there. I guess it might be a more favourable draw this week, but I'm curious on which basis you've drawn your conclusion after only two days.

After dropping down to D2 things are pretty much as I expected.

I (L366) am 12th highest. Currently 1st by 90 points. Using my worst green boosters so far.

There are 4 players 10 or more levels higher than me. 3 are playing (rather than drifting) and one of those is boosting hard and should win.

Of the bracket +/- 10 levels of me there are another 2 boosters and 2 more active players.

I read this as 7 of us competing for spots 2-4. I think investing a couple of days of quality boosters is in order.

Keep in mind that HC and Ch players need (much) better stats to put themselves on an even footing with KHs, so not all of you seven may be equally dangerous contenders for 2-4.

Can anyone tell me what a good setup for a KH specialist is? This last league week I finished 5th place in D3 with around 6740 points, didn't lose a single battle, so I thought yeah, top 4 finish most likely.

But nope, got popped down to 5th and saw that the people who placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th were like 10-15 levels lower than I am and all of them hit 6850+, which has me questioning... how?

My setup consists of 4 monostats and 2 rainbow. I put on 4 legendary Ginsengs. My trio consists of Any, Mizuki and whichever random girl I'm feeling (my understanding is the third girl doesn't really play that much of a factor). I round up to about 401k ego with 67k attack.

Am I using the wrong booster? Should I run two ginseng/two cordyceps for attack? Or should I go all monostat gear for attack and four ginseng to boost my other stats for def?

I want to at least be able to finish first just once and in the top 4 consistently. Which I had been able to do until these last 2-3 weeks where I've been finishing just outside of it.

That is a big secret 😂 if too many people know it, nobody has an advantage. But yes. You are using the wrong setup. You have to think about the little ones in the poule. Those are the ones the real points are scored against. Limit their damage, and create a high chance of healing yourself. After all, every heal is another point.

You probably won't confirm or deny, lol, but it's worth a shot anyway. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to what the other stats do, but if mainstat = attack and nonmain = def. I can only assume every other stat credits to either adding to my ego (which I guess endurance?) and the ability to pop off my specialty (so harmony? or excitement?).

With that said, I'm guessing maybe 6 rainbow + 4 cordyceps?

4 cordiceps is unnecessary. 2 is enough to get to the point where 2 hits gives you an orgasm hit the next round. But boosters are things one has to try out. Especially since legendary cordiceps are a rare thing to get by. Important thing here is that you need good equipment first. So if you don't have a set of up to date rainbows. Don't use them all.

Hey @jelom i'm sorry to read about your disappointing finish (2nd) in the season just ended

I did it again.........I WON That is 2 seasons in a row (i owe it all to my bud  jelom who convinced me to switch to KH)

I'm guessing that luck has an important part as i managed to do it in a 103 player league with 6854 points

This season looks very tough with another 103 player league including 15 players @ level 391 or higher

The week prior, in my first S3 league, I was glad to even reach the middle tier of rewards, which wasn't easy! Every little fight mattered.

This past week, I actually had to slow down deliberately on the last couple of days just to avoid promoting to D1 prematurely. I've reached #11 at some point, so I refrained from using any boosters at all yesterday (which was disastrous for my arena income, actually—in retrospect, I would probably have been better off skipping league fights). I still ended #23, comfortably in my... new comfort zone for at least a few weeks, I imagine. ^^

This week, I'm not even at the very bottom level wise: there are five players lower than me! Promising so far.

If you reached the point that you need to sit out fights to keep from being promoted in S3, maybe you should consider going up to D1

finishing 31st to 45th in D1 shouldn't be that hard if you use green and gold boosters and the koban prizes are nicer

I was out for a while, but came back in D1 two weeks ago. Won that with 7400ish and just now won D2 with 7196. Missed some xp, but the koban load is a nice compensation. Now with Fran, so not winning anything this week. XD 

 

I'm 11th highest, so I should finish top 15 without too much trouble.

Things went OK in the D2 just finished.

I spent a lot of time 1st until about day 4 when a player rushed to 6000. Not a problem. I was forecasting 6200-6400.

I closed to within 300 by day 5 when a new leader rushed to 6960 from way back. I could not match that but estimated I could keep 2-4 so I backed off.

With 1 day to go I passed the day 4 rusher.

With 12 hours to go another player jumped to 7100 pushing me down to 3rd.

In the end I finished 3rd.

I think the day 4 rusher ended up 5th. I suspect the day 4 and day 5 rushers ended up losing kobans.

This week I plan to demote out of D3 again.

Situation is still stable: ended 17th in my last Dicktator II and had to ditch only the last two tokens (apart getting purposedly low points on securely lost battles). My new Dicktator II up to now seems a little easier than the previous one, so it's possible that I will be forced to ditch more tokens to avoid promotion.

Thank you for your comment. I wanted to wait for the the results before posting my reply and here they are:

I'm baffled I was able to finish 15th in my first week in D3 so I'm very happy with it!

Granted I had a lot of lucky strikes but I also screwed up a few times like not attacking Fran when he wasn't boosted. I think I owe my place to @BenBrazke and @Aure for giving me a chance to do a perfect strike against them. I also was with @Sam Hentaires from my club who is a fantastic player with a heart of gold who helped me to track unboosted opponents and gave me some valuable advises.

I really had a lot of fun and definitely going to stay in D3.

Successfully demoted back to D2 in 91st place. Not great points last week, only 1300-odd for just over 20k XP. New D2 season looks promising.

Yes, staying in D3 the correct strategy. I didn't think that you would reach higher positions so soon, congrats and enjoy your hard earned kobans. That confirms that a correct strategy can overcome many levels of difference.

simple but expensive koban wise..........all purple boosters all the  time............that's it simple.............there are a few other strategy moves but nothing earth-shattering

Wasn't paying attention. Was 26th in D2 before spending 15 tokens. Jumped up to 15th...... hoping someone will just snipe it from me, but frankly I doubt it, everyone is probably tanking it.

I don't know what happened this week. My best ranking ever in D2 was 37th. It feels so strange that I jumped so quickly two reward tiers in one week, wasn't particularly boosted anyway.

D3 is gonna suck (at level 306)
