Rate the new girl.  Exactly my type.  Curvy/muscular/sexy.  Looks like she could kick my ass in real life if she wished to and that's sexy.

Hehe, I already thought she would be right up your alley! But not that much my type. I like my women more feminine.

Although I think we both can agree on big boobs ... 😉

Lol, I understand why they started it today instead of tomorrow, because the league reset would just make it EVEN MORE CANCER... But even still it's trash, lmao fuck this event honestly!

I don't think that makes any difference! Tomorrow we will still have the end of the old league, the start of the new league PLUS the end of the 1st Legendary (daily) Contest and the start of the 2nd Legendary (daily) Contest! So I expect the lag to be even worse tomorrow than today - although that's even hardly possible ... 😞

But what I think is really different are the chances of players in this 1st Legendary (daily) Contest! Today on the last day of the league players are in completely different situations: some maybe not have any opponents left against whom they can win, others may have more "potential" left. On the 1st day of the new league the starting positions are more equally distributed, everybody has the whole opponent pool from his league left to fight ...

Someone sold the house, again. 😁

Like what the hell, is this what i'm supposed to expect when i hit 400? Someone straight up hitting 2,5M points?????!!

On 200 the top guy has 130k. How the hell do you even achieve 2,5M on this event? Did he gather trash items since the game released?

I was wondering if this lag could come from the top dogs refreshing the arena too often, causing the server to process more data than usual? After all, most of the biggest players of HH will already be out of people to fight in the leagues, and the only other way to get lots of points would be to win as many arena fights as possible.

i've seen that my first place has like 650,000 (i'm at 160,000 doing just the regular) points i guess many people didn't play a single league match to be prepared for this. Still they are gonna drop 180 kobans to refill to do many matches, i wonder how much will they use in the end to be in the 1 place. I'm really sorry but the girl is great i really like the art, the problem is the event: is like a beautiful rose surrounded and covered by tons of s... to me

In my experience there are crazy guys like that in almost every level range, expect maybe the lowest. I have experienced overkill like this many times.

And as to how he did achieve it? I reckon he did it with "Give xp to the girls" ... if you have a large stack of books that's the easiest way to gain lot's of points fast (within the possibilities these 2 Contests give you).

And that's the reason why I don't like that they added the "Score points in contests" option to this contest ... because a player that maybe is pretty good at PvP now can be outdone by someone with a huge stash of books (in this particular case).

To avoid inconveniencing players in wrong time zones, and to also help with the lag, they should let players choose the reset time for the contest.  Preferably, it would be a general reset time option, with controls to avoid giving extra time.

Customization of reset time would reduce the pool of players for each slot (i.e. the pool of players from which your 49 contest competitors are selected), but this can be adjusted by limiting the granularity of the reset time choice, with further possible adjustment by using bots to ensure that every contest group has 50 players, letting Nutaku and Hentai Heroes players compete together, and letting non-level-matched players compete together.

The event is perhaps too easy for low-level players and too hard for level 401+ players.  One alternative is to let all levels compete in the same bracket while giving a point boost to low-level players to even out the difficulty.

Finally, if the lag is not resolved, they should postpone the remaining 3 days of the contest pending an appropriate server or software upgrade.  One option is to add some story about Bellona (the mission girl) as an in-haremverse reason for postponement (as a Goddess, maybe she cast a slowing spell that needs a few weeks to be dispelled).

A funny and at the same time offensive situation: Jason scored 7k points already on day 3. All that remains is to play in the arena and spend books. 😐

I believe the game doesn't really support that type of thing and will probably be very hard to implement in a decent manner. On the other hand doing something in lieu of the issues would require them to actually care about the playerbase. It's been proven time and again that they have already decided on a certain course of action and have no interest in any non-congratulatory feedback.

@DvDivXXXyou seem confused about what I wrote, but I am not sure about what exactly. I would love to clarify it (since I know my English isnt the best and since I cant believe you really think that player (in higher brackets) will really win this first contest through aren/league fights and a little bit of xp from daily quests).

You might be exaggerating a bit.  Letting users customize reset time for events is not inherently difficult (but we do not know how hard it is for their implementation).  Also, I think Kinkoid listens to feedback, and in any case, it is in their interest to listen.  Now, they often come across as incompetent, but so do even large organizations, and I do not fully understand why.

Odd. Even though I'm not even trying, I'm at 3rd in my group atm (100k, 115k for nr 1 position). Just from spending energy on quests, doing Arena fights for daily quest and doing the normal daily quests. If I'd go fight in the leagues I'd be in nr 1 position. That leads me to believe a lot of people are like me and not bothering with the event? Just doing normal daily stuff.

That is a bit of a tall order, but I've long felt KK should have a 2nd "group" or "slot" whatever you want to call it, with a reset time 12 hours offset from the current reset timer.

An eastern world and a western world, so to speak. And then let people choose which world they want to be part of. And make them sit out a week if they want to change.

Splitting the player base like this into 2 groups should help with lag, and certainly addresses the (very valid) complaints about the influence of sniping and time-zones on the results in-game.

It doesn't involve changes to the software. Just run a 2nd server and install the software again. I still don't expect KK to do it.

Competitive game ends once you reach 400. Nothing you can do will help you catch up

I'm not exactly confused, that's just the name of the smiley I've used; I'm simply not convinced by your statement, at the very least for the specific combination of contests we have today on HH.

6 hours ago, blaa said:

on HH it's through experience on girls; since they added the possibility to get points for normal contest points the first LC contest is in most cases a contest contest and not an xp/pvp contest anymore

edit: at least for higher brackets where most pepole have so many ressources you couldnt even have a chance (for a good placement) if you had all tokens available

Even for players with unlimited resources, the point ratio still means something. So the specific regular contest whose points also count towards the legendary contest matter (more specifically, its own points structure counts). So, while there will for sure be cases where your point is right, I doubt it for today's configuration. You need to look at both structures up close to make a decent educated guess.

To simplify, let's note the Legendary Contest as LC and the Regular Contest as RC from now on. In this case, we have the following:

LC of the day:
Hero XP: x10
PvP win: +150
RC point: x1

RC of the day:
Item sold: +60
Girl XP: x1

This means a few things:

  • By far, the biggest source of points for LC is Hero XP, above everything else.
  • PvP wins are not negligible, but a fixed amount means it's quite limited.
  • RC has an insanely low point structure for both parameters, even though yes, they're both scalable.
  • RC points count as is for LC (eg x1), so you need to score tons of points in RC for it to even surpass PvP wins as a point source for LC.

Now, what else do we know about the various player pools that could factor in with the above? For the D3 winners you are most likely referring to (those who naturally and effortlessly dominate the 400+ bracket):

  • D3 winners have virtually limitless stashes of Ymens and kobans.
  • Most of them have an amount of upgradable girls close to or equal to zero.
  • Most of them also already own more girls than you can dream of. They "empty the pachinko", they "literally can't obtain a new girl right now" and all that jazzy jazz.
  • They level up every other week or whatever, so for most of them there won't be an influx of Girl XP from that specifically today either.
  • All of them are typically at the very end of the Adventure mode, so they'll grab a little Hero XP from today's new scrolls and that's about it.
  • On the final day of the league (eg today), they shouldn't have too many remaining league fights to play, even if most of those are wins.

So... D3 winners' best options to win today's LC, even if they're willing to burn away tons of kobans and/or Ymens for it, are exactly these:

  • Refilling Arena fights to get +450 points per 24 kobans.
  • Buying and selling tons of items (through massive Market refills and/or GPx10 spins) for either +480 points per 42 kobans (Market) or +600 points per however many billions of Ymens one GPx10 costs them.

So, no. It won't necessarily be through RC points, and when it is, it should definitely NOT be from the Girl XP part of the RC, but from the Sell Items part instead. Hence the "confused" smiley in reaction to your statement, as I think it's dead wrong in this specific case.

I could detail other player pools and brackets, but this is one of the simplest ones to assess and it's already been more tedious work and calculations than I anticipated. I'll just mention the other extreme as my good friend and contest specialist whose name I'll never be able to type already brought up in a previous post: the terrible and/or über casual players with uncharacteristically old accounts for their fairly low Hero Level and/or atrocious League rankings. These guys will own whichever bracket they happen to be in through league tokens, and league tokens alone. I'll quote his post here, as it's a brilliant illustration of what I'm talking about here, but I have plenty of very similar examples in my own current LC group. They're the bane of the serious contest player, unfortunately.

Nice timing of the first contest, by the way. 1 day before the reset. All the people are in equal starting positions LUL Especially those, who do not bother to perform in the league and can make a ton of refills, cause of unused tokens.

Good luck have fun, man. I'm very cautiously optimistic I have a slim shot at a top 10 without ruining my league ranking and promoting back to Skip League tomorrow myself. ^^

Re Multi-edit: I didn't consider it, and as I was responding/posting to unrelated parts of this thread I don't know if I would have done it if I *had* considered it. However, I'll be more mindful of it in the future.

Re the parts of your post about players in "end-game" and where they can get points: I had never considered any of that!

Re the quoted part: I'm one of those. I see no point to get to level 400 as there's nothing there for me so I don't particularly want the xp, I can do without the "wins" of low level leagues, so I don't participate in the league other then just keeping myself in the lowest bracket. I still don't dominate most contests, *except* when PvP wins come into it. As I posted in one of my earlier too-many posts (sorry!): if I went and got all my potential wins in the league now, I would indeed easily score very high in today's particular contest.

When did I miss the patch notes that also standard contests switched from reward scheme

  • 1st
  • 2nd-4th
  • 5th-11th
  • 12th-26th
  • 27th+

To the LC reward scheme?

  • 1st
  • 2nd-4th
  • 5th-10th
  • 11th-25th
  • 26th+

Did that happen with the introduction of "rebalanced" daily contests?
