Potentially tight competition though, and the distance between 4th and 5th may not be large in the end here; we'll see. Bigger than expected margin to those below me, especially anony76 who was the only fully permaboosted player and really should have been in the top 4 as KH and the second-highest level in the league. In fact, as he was also heavily bugged, I lost all three battles against anony76, my first league losses in several months. (In competitive weeks anyway; I don't recall and didn't record if I lost anything in intentional top 15 weeks.) Still a 22.37 average for me, a fairly middle of the road result. At least I was correct that it would be close between 4th and 5th. I ended up using 2 ginseng / 2 cordyceps as a booster setup twice during the week instead of once (and correspondingly 4 ginseng only twice instead of three times), due to a rather large amount of strong upper-level KH and Ch opponents where full ginseng wasn't effective enough. Top 15 by class: 3x KH, Ch, KH, HC, 4x Ch, HC, Ch, Ch, HC, HC - not a lot of Know-how up here this time. Moderator Kenrae Posted November 27, 2020 Moderator Share Posted November 27, 2020 This was my result on the last league: More or less as expected. mot_131 was out of reach and there was a big difference between the top 4 and the rest, so you should take the order between 2nd and 4th with a grain of salt - Monster750 and Ichigo-Kun could very well have played on cruise mode given the opposition. 22.49 average, a low one for me, but it's been like that for everybody. I've seen a lot more bugged players than ever, starting with the winner. I don't know if it's a coincidence or a trend, I hope it's the former (actually, I hope they fix this damn bug already, it's been more than a year. It shouldn't be that difficult). In fact, I would have won with my best average, but I'm pretty sure it was impossible for me to have that score with these league opponents. Final rank: 17th. About 200 points between ranks #15 and #31, so no stress to stay in top 30. Boosters used : 8 epics (2 ginseng / 2 cordyceps twice) and 2 legendaries (2 chlorella once) as the last week. 107 players -> 106 opponents -> 318 possible fights -> 303 fights performed -> 274 wins and 29 losses (15 remaining fights) Still a very good week for XP (new records of wins in D2). Legendary Contests and Path of Attraction are very helpful to perform more fights (almost 5 000 points for top 15 is higher than usual). Anyways, this week I am too busy to participate in my league for a real chance of a top4, maybe I wont even get a top15 since I almost have no time to look opponents up and have to do fast decisions. (And then the snapshot bug meant I couldn't possibly catch them off-boosts again, although maybe they boosted straight through the two days anyway). After three below-average weeks in a row, at last one with average crit luck again. Used the same boost cycles as last week again with 2x 4 ginseng, 2x 2 ginseng / 2 cordyceps, and 1x 4 cordyceps. Top 15 by class: 7x KH, HC, KH, KH, HC, Ch, Ch, HC, KH. Prize cutoffs: 15th 5946 points, 16th 5886 (19.43), 30th 5390, 31st 5267 (17.38). I finished first with 6942 points (22,91 average), but Grovdar was dangerously near with 6918 points. The rest of the players was very far from that. I've destroyed my previous record with a 22.87 average (a 0.15 increase). It's the first time in ages that I've been able to catch everybody unboosted. Top 4 players were as I expected, the highest leveled KH players in the bracket, all of us with some previous wins. We can continue to see the trend of lower averages than some weeks ago, the constant permaboosting due to the surplus of MyP orbs is here to stay - and it makes the league more interesting, IMHO. I did a rush in the first day and another in the third because I saw many people unboosted I wanted to catch. Many people nowadays leave only one window of opportunity and you don't know if you'll have another one, so I'm giving priority to that over having the perfect set of boosters and it seems it's paying off. Since I caught everybody unboosted I finished all my fights 36 hours before the end. Ah, this league had less buggy players than the previous one, which had lots of them, so maybe it was coincidence after all. 8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had to play carefully all the week, due to the strong players, and in the end I did 6955 points with 22,95 average, with govenants only 28 points behind. My club mates TheMadaFucker and Jechko also did an excellent score surpassing 6800 points and getting the 3rd and 4th places. Alucard was far behind, I though he would be closer. This time I got an easy top15, but I should have made it in the top4 after seeing this final standing. (two former d3 winners didnt even care (somewhere around top60; edit: and there are also: marcin, heisenbergian, arganor, unfasik all KH players almost perma boosted, most of them at least one d3 win, kanki was CH, windofblue probably too, but mostly a surprise) My lesson: Just go for it every week, especially since MyP-orbs give us more boosters than we need. From now on, i probably gonna try it every week and just look what happens. Hopefully in a few weeks the difference wont be that much anymore, at least I should catch up on stats and level slowly. Another reason could be that more and more people are boosted for a longer time, at least after my experience. That also should favor me. Saying that, this week I plan to play serious, but I am not seeing a high chance being in top4 at the end. This week I had to fight my last 21 fights against boosted players only. Anyway, I thought it would be a closer fight than this given darkone's level and D3 history of 11 wins. Beyond him it's a very soft bracket though, and top 4 should be very likely again. (If I don't play this too lazily, which I've kinda done for the past two days...) That went pretty much as expected: 22.28 average; I didn't optimize too much but what I left on the table was surely much less than the sizable gap to the winner's 22.53. I was a bit surprised by how uncompetitive third place and beyond turned out. It's not like I expected more 22+ scores, but not even a 21.50? Pretty good field overall though, with very few players having screwed-up squads and/or low club bonuses. Somehow I managed to catch all players at levels 425 and above unboosted early on (including shin, who gave up a window the first day already), so without any remaining threat of potentially losing battles, for the first time in many months I could afford to skip the 4 cordyceps boost cycle and use a second 2 ginseng / 2 cordyceps setup instead. I still ended up having to do two lower-level players while they were on boosts - one started boosting shortly before the end of November, the other one right at the start of December, so probably Seasons-related. Not that that made any difference to my final placement either, so whatever. Top 15 by class: 3x KH, Ch, HC, Ch, KH, Ch, KH, Ch, Ch, KH, HC, HC, Ch. Prize cutoffs: 15th 5733, 16th 5699 (18.81), 30th 5190, 31st 5147 (16.99). The other two previous D3 winners toriko73 and Ludovicosarda finished 15th and 99th, respectively. IIRC the latter had several D2 wins on his profile as well, so his demoting wasn't too much of a surprise. (The score was, though: 16 points. The highest demoting player had 1979.) Edit: Ah, and it was a majorly lucky week on crits. For the longest time I was averaging around 4.8 points per opponent, way higher than my long-term average of 4.2. It did come down a bit near the end, but 4.46 is still my highest score ever on that front. Compared to my all-time low of 3.97 three weeks ago that's nearly a 50-point swing just on luck. (Caveat: Of course some opponent fields may be easier or harder to crit against in general, that's virtually impossible to quantify.)
