Ranking based on levels was 74/100. Ended up 11th with 6046 points (mean 20.36). First top15 finish.

Used mostly 1cor,2gin and 1x 3cor (for Pantheon wall)
Def teams 189k & 155k (competition 202k & 168k)

Had a good team for both halves - a bit better for 1st. Kind a easy league, although 54 opponents were still 490+ level. Prioritized taking tough fights on the 1st half as the expectation was that the 2nd half would be worse. However, nobody actually had maxed team on the 2nd half, which made my changes close to equal.
Overall, solid gameplay resulted my first top15 finish. No real surprise really - knew from before that using cordyceps would result good finish. Different from previous runs, had now one equipped for all fights, which made the difference.

I'll stop weekly updating here. Plan going forward is to reach cheap top30 finishes or moderate cost top15. No need to pay any extra as the top15 has been cracked. Reporting this will be very repetitive and not really interesting.

For anyone planning promotion to D3, I have now documented in this thread my D3 start from beginning to top15 finish. This includes one way of gauging your place in D3 power ranking and all mistakes I made. Try to avoid those mistakes and good luck with your runs.

Hmmm, please don't let the picture fool you on this weeks results. While it may show me in 1st place I do not expect the position to hold (unless every other top-15 player was having the same problems I had). The final score is 13.38 points below my projected random results score. The league had 100 players with a average 496.5 level. I ended up with 294 wins and 3 losses (technically speaking). The below average "wins" really hurt way more than the expected "might win" losses.

 

For the first time I saw my clubmate Carlos in the same league, I hope he hangs on to a top 15 finish.

First time I could win two Leagues in a row! Squirt42, Sephira and [FDGN]~blabla were the hardest opponents from the first impression. royc69 and sam performed better as expected, but with their lvl600-700 teams not with a real chance cor top1. Not very nice was, that I had to fight 10 boosted opponents. This was the time I wasn't sure I could win the League, but thankfully Squirt42 waited to long with gaining points so it seems he had to fight more opponents with active booster in the last 2 days were he did more than 4000 of his points.

I used 1 Ginseng, 2 Cordy and 3 AM Booster.

I was a bit worried at the end, so I refilled (4 Fights, 50 Kobans) and used 2x Cordy to finish the league. Before that, in the last hour, I was at ~6000 points and 21.14 avg, with mostly tough fights left.

Was traveling from Thursday to Sunday, and basically figured I'd save some Kobans by doing x15 fights instead of refilling. Used triple ginseng, had a few losses, but figured I'd get a top 15 and it'd be fine.  Was still behind multiple refills when i got home, as the convention was very busy.

At some point alight bulb went off in my head, and I realized I needed to try because I was multiple refills behind... and yet in the top 15 at times.

The league turned out better than I hoped. I suspect I might have been able to win if I was at home, or at least less busy this week. Still, a good result.

Especial mention for Safi the Orca being 6th at level 392, that shows the power of level 750 girls, and being boosted to the max, but also of knowing how to play the league. Keep an eye on him her , in a year he she will be winning D3.

Finished 4th for the 2nd time ever!  I was 2nd to 5th throughout the week.  Focused on fighting un-boosted, but high ranking players in the first half.  I knew I'd have a nice 186k+ TP team during the 2nd half, so I decided to buy an AME and use 3 cords, for the last 100 lower ranked fights.  Used 3 refills after blessings changed.  Only fought a few players that were boosted.  I think it was an easy bracket.  Dropped from 2nd to 3rd in the final 5 hrs, then 3rd to 4th in the last 34 min.  Managed to "get lucky past the gap," w/ just a +74 point lead, to remain 4th.  Very happy w/ these results, b/c I was basically broke after getting Kira from the LD.  Ended up spending 1k kos for a ~3.8k kos profit.

Another week over, and this time it really shows that I still have trouble deciding how to allocate my fights between blessings. It's definitely a weak point for me and could have played a role in my last fight with sliqguy. However, with no serious contest up against me this time, it didn't matter.

This starting week I'm against bla, so there'll be at least this league of serious battling still. However, mythic equipment seems to be right around the corner. I've weathered the storm of changes to the battle system before and even benefitted from those, but I'm sort of tired from what my playstyle demands (evidenced by improvements to my play having been few and far between recently for instance) and I'm not sure I want to pivot to something more relaxed either. So, since I'd need large efforts to adjust to the new meta, I'm at least seriously considering retirement. It's been mostly a positive experience having a decent claim for being #1 in the world at something (of course that was definitely put under a fair bit of challenge by sliqguy, but maybe a bit before that when I still could put all the needed focus on the game). And also being part of this community, and I even had a community project I led inside that larger community.

Anyway, it's not yet the time for such decisions, but I felt these thoughts were something I should still talk about.

I finished on 17th place, 2 points from the 15th  If I didn't login in the last 20 minutes, I would've finished on the 32th place.

What's more important, on a side note, is that I finished on the 1st place on D1 in CxH. my first ever first place win in all of these games  It was a good training ground for the future, when I will want to go to D3 in HH.

I think, I should stop doing partial refills, as soon as I come back after I missed some time, and better wait until the last day of the league to see if they are even necessary to reach a certain ranking range, respectively because I sometimes can't be online before the end of the league and therefore can't always do all fights anyways.

My second victory in a row and the third one overall. I recognized early that this week looked quite promising and the first one ever I really expected to win. Some others had good teams but I think they didn't give everything. On the other hand my plan was to avoid some risk and therefore I decided to use AMEs. Two in total. A Top 4 was pretty save and the chance for a victory was good enough to do the investment. Even if I would have failed my netto koban win would have been still good enough to attend my highest priority events in the next weeks. Maybe it was not necessary but I don't complain and instead I'm happy with the result.

Hey! ^^ So, you're Pablo in game, I'm guessing? Sure, this isn't bad by any means. It's just that you could have achieved the same result with less investment, and thus a bigger profit. You must have spent a ton on refills early on since you already had your final score by what, Monday? When I saw your Phase 2 team was more or less just as good as your Phase 1 team, I was surprised. To rush like that, I expected you to really be in a much worse position after the blessing switch. But it wasn't the case, so you could have taken your time and saved up on refill kobans and still gotten a top 4 just as easily.

Of course, if you had other reasons to rush your league early (like maybe just a busy schedule at work or something), it's a different story. I can only examine what I can observe.

Wahoo! This week was a rematch between test and myself in a League with 102 players. This time I have no losses and my average in a smidgen above the purely random expectation (+2.32 points to be exact). My guess is I have a 55-70% shot at staying in first place, but we shall see.

Mine is that your screenshot being 10 hours early will have a bigger impact than usual in this case. Especially in a large group as you mentioned, if this is even somewhat close to the final rankings, then you were very lucky and it was a rare "top 15 and chill" week for all your contenders, and an ultra rare one for super competitive whale Test in particular. You're pretty likely to end up in top 4 still, don't get me wrong, but that gap is very suspicious to say the least.

Well, it is here, the mythic equipment. But for old times' sake, here's one more league report as promised. And it went really well with my second-highest recorded luck and passing my over 99.5% efficiency target. I can be quite content with this if it's to be my last one.

I took note that bla didn't appear to be fighting at full strength. Despite that, I just felt like going pretty hard this league. Also there was some risk that the introduction of mythic equipment would give someone regularly only decent such an edge that I couldn't just ignore it. But nope, nobody challenged me, really.

Sadly not the 3rd win in a row, but I had expected to end in top4 after I saw shal as League opponent. Hadn't thought that this will end with only 31 points difference. I had done my best to minimize the gap and even I was better than expected it's a little bit sad that the gap isn't in the other direction.. Gratulation to shal for top1!

I used 1 Ginseng, 2 Cordy and 3 AM Booster.

Well, we will see how it will end with the new Mythic equipment in the next weeks.
