It should make that superleague very competitive, and the trickle down effect I would expect would be to open up some of the D3 leagues to more competition when one removes the usual suspects. Zteev Posted August 31, 2020 Share Posted August 31, 2020 I guess that's possible. I have basically no experience in D3, having promoted there once before I was remotely ready to be competitive. I was simply thinking that it might function sort of like the early D3 with few players in it did, and the early D2 before that; which generally saw a rise up of the rungs of the ladder. If the level 440+ players aren't competent enough to win now, I would think that while they might be competent enough to win, they may also have to either give up a week to demote, or simply plod along in the new level like they now do in D3. If it were me, I would have a minimum promotion level set for each of the leagues. This change would allow players to go all out without the fear of being advanced to the next league before they are ready to be competitive in the successive league and maybe provide more of a challenge to the higher level players. Want more choices? I would still have minimum levels set for automatic promotion, but if a player is below that level and finishes in the top 15, they could receive an invitation to go to the next league, which they are free to decline. Now that's what I call a good idea. I'd also decrease the difference between kobans prizes inside the same league (specially from 1st to 2nd) and increase the difference between leagues. Beside the fact that the new league is formed automatically - so in which fraction of a second to you want to say "no promotion please"? I guess that is not the place for this discussion. Obviously there is an algorithm in place to do the latter so little effort is required to slip in the yes-no question. But as you say, we are straying off the main topic. Those are players who have been removed from the league for inactivity. If you want promotion to be optional, it'll involve sitting out of the leagues for a week to request to join the next week based on that code. Observer_X Posted September 3, 2020 Share Posted September 3, 2020 My Dicktator III for this week (101 players, from level 332 to level 451): Looks like that the leagues are becoming a serious affair for me: after ending at 43rd place in the last league, I fall in another that at first sight seems even harder, with more than one quarter of players of higher level than me (including my clubmate @[CNO] Escanor) and even the players of lower level (like our forum pal @Jan Red Dragon) are mostly so bathed in boosters to become hard to beat even when I use boosters too. Lately has come back to me more and more frequently the thought that I am still unable to understand why there are players that, despite the fact that it should be quite evident that it will not help them increasing their final rank, continue tirelessly to use high level boosters during all the week, wasting a lot of kobans: at least at this level, people should have understood at least the basics of combat and league strategy. I understand that people have different playing styles and even different objectives, but given that I keep finding the aforementioned situation again and again, it is hard for me to believe that those are the only reasons, and nevertheless I also can't believe that so many players have such bad strategy at these levels. 7 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Don't worry about winning this week OBSERVER_X, since there are two weeks left for the CONTEST (then you have to lose this tournament and win the next one, or lose all 3, So you will have started the one you need to win because in the CONTEST it will ask you TO WIN 200 times and it will be difficult because in that week we have to win all because the game forces you) .
