Moderator DvDivXXX Posted September 3, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 3, 2020 First D3 experiment over. Here are the results: D3 experiment 1 2020/08/27-09/03 Boosters used: 24 legendaries (mostly stock I had, otherwise it would have costed me way more than even the top 30 koban rewards, as mentioned). 100 players. 99 opponents. 297 fights. wins:253 losses:44 Average XP per win: 275-ish? (280 vs 414+. 279 vs 411-10; 278 vs 409-07; 277 vs 406-403 etc.) All in all, I've learned a lot, I earned way more XP than in D2, and I enjoyed it. I'm going for round 2 this week. I'm in the same group as Shal and also my clubmate Tom, who ended top 15 in his D2 by mistake just like I did the week before. I think in his case demotion is still the way to go, though. Good luck, have fun this week guys. Stay safe!
Caradog
17th in D2, 1 point behind @kariya. 6 unused fights & 1, very annoying, avoidable 13 point loss. Fairly tough league with some high level opponents so ended up farming XP from losses from my last dozen-or-so fights. This ↓ gives me hope. Deliberately under-performing in the Leagues is maddening so the possibility of promoting to D3 before I hit ~lvl. 380+ without losing out on XP is very appealing. 55 minutes ago, DvDivXXX said: D3 experiment 1 2020/08/27-09/03 Boosters used: 24 legendaries (mostly stock I had, otherwise it would have costed me way more than even the top 30 koban rewards, as mentioned). 100 players. 99 opponents. 297 fights. wins:253 losses:44 Average XP per win: 275-ish? I don't expect to win that given the level differences to Cadmos and azerty and the presence of other decent-looking high level players such as Ads (who looks quite due for a win), but that's certainly the most open anyone-can-win bracket I've ever been in. Week 20 for me in D3. Aaaand....nope. A semi-expensive bust as I did a bunch of partial refills to catch opponents at the right times - at one point yesterday I was 20 tokens ahead of what's needed - and still had to mess with my usual boost patterns anyway, spending nearly 6 full cycles on boosts rather than the usual 5. (Normally the partial refills are intended to prevent extra booster usage, of course...) 22.51 average, a new personal record - would have been nice to have the victory as the payoff to that, oh well. At least I can say that 29 points is well over what I could blame RNG effects for, so that was still a clear loss even if it's much closer than I'd been in any other week. Lots of permaboosting people during the first few days, by Sunday evening at the halfway mark there were still more than 10 players I had never seen unboosted. In the end I did manage to catch almost everybody, just one opponent just would not drop his boosts. Incidentally, he became the second-highest finisher after me below level 430, as a level 417 Charm that ended up in 13th place. In the same results range, that unfortunate 5th place x6 player from the bracket preview only took 14th place here, having also boosted nearly all the time. KH x4 / Ch / KH x2 / Ch x2 / HC / Ch x2 for the top 12 (as mentioned, all at level 430+ bar myself). Edited September 3, 2020 by _shal_
Moderator Slynia Posted September 3, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 3, 2020 Mobile screenshot this week so we only get to see the top 5. I took it really easy this week, not much micromanaging at all by changing gear or alpha girl, my only strat was to fight players when they were unboosted (duh). 6898 points (22.99 average), even though I had to fight 7 opponents who refused to drop their boosters for the entire week. Pretty funny huh? I got almost the same average as usual when I'm going for a more laidback playstyle. This can of course be explained by that I had a very underleveled or "easy" bracket.

E. N. D.
Hello here, Last week was a good surprise for me, I didn't expect to win the league with 2members of the Porn identity (not to mention their bug) and 1of the supremacy. I did 23.10 average. This league was very interesting, I was able to observe their mutual aid strategy unfortunately without being able to take advantage of it ... so all the week I thought the league was lost, but I was wrong. I played KH approximately 65% of the league and switched to charm for the last 35 percent. looking back, I think it was a good choice. have a nice evening all, see you next week PS: as you can see Nyarlathotep (lvl404) did great too , congratulation to him Edited September 3, 2020 by E. blaa
Since I had 4 players from the top30 all time experience in my league and 7 players with at least 1 d3 win and several others with multiple top4 places I decided to play for a top 15. Until 6 hours before league rest I wasnt for one time in top15, but in the end i got a surprising 5th place with 3 fights left (which I would have lost anyways and didnt want to refill for it): The difference to top4 seems huge, but I am confident, I could have beaten this score; since I only used for one day a 4set of legendary boosters (and for the other 4 times I use 2chlorella 2epic cordy) and didnt do any micromanaging at all, I probably could have gotten with full booster/full micromaniging 1point/per fight more in average. Well, my guess was that there will be at least 4 (more like 5-7) with results like mythica and co (1,3-4KH, 2 CH). My average was 21,1 and I know now that I can even use less boosters for next time to get a top15. And that's what I can try this week, with this lineup I wont have a chance for a top4 again: from top to bottom 53 wins, 4 wins, 13 wins, 6 2nd, 2 2nd, 2 wins, 1 2nd, and there are many more with at least multiple top4 placements being KH players with better stats. Does somebody know how many D3 there are on nutaku?
Тёмный Властелин
Last week results: 105 players: 425 - highest level, 277 - lowest, average - 369,89, median - 375 made 288 battles: 264 - wins, 24 - losses, 24 remaining tokens average points per wins: ~18,018 15th place score - 5047; got 17th with 5009 points was boosted for 4 days: 2 times 4 epic cordyceps; 1 time 4 legendary ginseng; 1 time 4 legendary chlorellas total XP gain - ~71280 This week was way too overpowered for my level, so I had to perform unfavoured fights in the red zone in order to catch up in points and, as a result, 18 13 points losses. Horrible week. A lot of opponents are in 20-30k remaining ego range. So annoying. Top guys by level past week: Still managed to finish in 16-30 range. During the last ~15 seconds some guy jumped in top 15 and it was 38 points more to score. Oh, well 😐 Since there are 5 events every month now and we're even more short on kobans (😐), I decided to unlock my stash of legendary boosters to stash some kobans for future refills this month. The league was won by level 413 Charm player, (8 D1 wins, 19 D2 wins). Level 416 Hardcore player was 2nd (for the first time). Level 391 Know-how player (1 time D1 winner) was 3d. 394 level Hardcore player with no top 4 in D2 got his first top 4. The rest top 9 are: HC, KH, KH, KH, HC. Screens: Good luck 😉 Edited September 4, 2020 by Тёмный Властелин

Moderator DvDivXXX Posted September 10, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 10, 2020 (edited) I won't be available until hours after the reset today, so I'm posting this early, not knowing whether my top 30 place will stick or not yet (but being in @_shal_'s league, I know there will be a more detailed report on how it went later on ^^ - looks promising for him, btw, fingers crossed!). So, this was my second week in full-on Fight-o! mode in D3. D3 experiment #2 - 2020/09/03-10 Boosters used: 14 legendaries and 4 epics (no more stock, all paid for in kobans). 101 players. 100 opponents. 300 fights. wins:253 losses:47 Average XP per win: 275-ish? Hoping I'll finish in Top 30 again, but will have to confirm later. Edit: I did! Finished #25. ^^ Good luck, have fun this week, guys. Stay safe! Moderator Kenrae Posted September 10, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 10, 2020 This was a particularly hard league, I've gone all in and I was happy because I discovered some new tactics that seemed to work well. Thus... ONE POINT?! Come on I had one mistake against one opponent (GetOverHere), I thought he was unboosted but he wasn't and lost one battle. I think the battle was in the middle of a stats refresh and caught me by surprise. That mistake has cost me the 4th place. 22.31 average, I think it's my record. I'd have won some past seasons with that average (not many, 3 or 4 maybe). 10
DHarry
Well, this could have ended way worse. 😅 I was genuinely convinced I'd be 5th with the same amount as no 4. Phew. That would have beaten your one point @Kenrae 😆 Tough luck tho. Get them next week! 9
Caradog
17th in D2. Got distracted by emails so didn't take a screenshot but, from memory, the last time I looked I was 3 points off 16th in an irritatingly low-scoring league (~4500 points for 16th). Lots of unused fights but, refreshingly, no avoidable 13 point losses.
blaa
Finished as expected in top 15. With an average of 20,7 and 700 points to 16. I finished on 10. I lost 3 fights and played 2 days without booster, 2 days with 2 chloella 2 epic cordy and 1 day (and the last 15 fights) with 2cordy/2ginseng. I am somehow surprised jxk finished that bad regarding his stats, but it was obviours I couldnt beat at least 4 players of the top 6 in the end. Fred and hardy are CH; everybody else is KH. This week I am going again for a top15: First 5 players are all KH and at least one time former d3 winner (most of them have won it multiple times). There are also other good opponents, but I probably couldnt even beat one of these players, so I am not going too much into detail right now. jelom
This week I was third. Not a surprise as my club mate @mago oscuro del caos (congrats for the first place) and Suzaku were both excellent players as his league record can attest. Also I didn't play my best. Suzaku was at 4000 points one hour before the end. Link also performed well to reach the 4th place. As you can see in the images other players also did good scores. All in all a strong bracket. Edit: for the new week i have two main competitors: kilik77 456 KH 27 wins, and entwine 447 KH with 30 wins. I have surpassed them before but they surely have improved his gameplay, so I must play very well to win. Not an easy task. Moderator Slynia Posted September 10, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 10, 2020 6818 points, 22.95 average last week. Aris was using 3 ginseng + 1 cordyceps as his booster setup during the entire week. I used 2 ginseng + 2 cordyceps for 3 days, and 4 ginseng for 4 days. Still, quite surprised that I won by so much. This week, however, I'm with my boy govenants, so I will definitely have a hard time, as I don't even expect to win. Good luck out there!

LordBlackwolf Ch 428 4th place x1 Marcos KH 422 3rd place x2 Kaelidan KH 421 1 win Okay, in this one I guess I need to declare myself the favourite... Uh-oh. Goodbye, my old friend: Tough and confusing week - I've rarely had as much trouble to judge a competitor as I did with cypion31 here. They were boosting with the good stuff all week long - sometimes 2 ginseng and 2 cordyceps, sometimes 3 / 1 - and I do mean "all week", as they were one of three people I wasn't able to find unboosted at all. So that was pretty worrisome, even though their Charm class, "only" +17 levels on me and a history of just 2x 2nd place ordinarily should have put them well in my beatable range. About an hour before the finish line cypion31 did a pretty sizable push and I thought I was safe enough after that with an unexpectedly large margin of 125 points having already finished myself. But they ended up scoring another 69 points half an hour later, so that was a bit of a late scare as I suspected they might be sitting on even more remaining battles. Thankfully not. Decent enough winning margin of 56 points in the end, but not so big that I'm forced to regret my rather koban-suboptimal play (about 250 spent on ~20 refilled tokens + 6 full booster sets for the week). RNG wasn't particularly on my side this week with about 20 points "lost" on crits and judge positions compared to an average week, one of the worst weeks I've had. 22.40 average for me in what was a bracket with relatively few sub-par opponent squads and a sizable number of people using 3+ monostats, which always limits the points scoring potential a bit. Ironically, my main competitor's 22.22 final average is pretty much what I would have expected to see from somebody with those stats and league history, which makes all the mid-week worrying a bit absurd. @DvDivXXX was still in 25th place (about 180 points above 31st) when I was starting to do my screenshots with about 3 minutes to go, so that should have easily held on. @mikcris, also one of the players I wasn't able to find unboosted altogether, finished with a fairly hard-luck 17th place from what I saw, only a handful of points off the top 15. Excellent results from both at levels 343 and 374. I must say it was a very soft bracket for top 15 results, though, with 18.70+ averages enough to get in there. I've seen quite a few leagues where scores like 20.20 were insufficient. The top 30 cutoff also looks lower than it usually seems to be, but only by maybe 100-150 points, not the 300+ deficit that the top 15 have produced here. KH / Ch / KH / Ch / KH / Ch / HC / HC / Ch / HC for the top 10, so this was definitely not a bracket full of skilled KH players. So, 21 seasons to get that elusive first win, we'll see how things progress from here. I'm obviously still largely at the mercy of the league draws, and that won't change anytime soon. jelom
@_shal_ congratulations and welcome to the D3 winners club. 🥇🏆 Last week when I saw your bracket screenshot I was sure you would win, and I am sure you will score more wins in the future as the level difference with the top will be shrinking (albeit slowly). 1
snowman22
All chuffed with my D3 2nd last week I open up my new league and see @govenants and @Slynia topping the list. (77? 99 wins between them.) I am 14 places back by level. So much for a chance at top 4. I put on the purple anyway, pick off 4 unboosted higher level players and go for breakfast. With coffee and breakfast in me donning the purple starts to seem like a mistake. The top 2 spots are taken. Probably there are another 2 multi-D3-winners in the 13 slots above me. I check the list looking for other D3 winners for forms sake. Crap. Position 3 has 5 D3 wins. Only 3 rows down and only 4th is still open. Should have checked first and just gone orange. But ... next player with a D3 win was me 13 slots down. Above me with my 1 fluke win there are 5 players with D3 2-4 place finishes. All 6 of us will be focusing on that single, juicy 4th. I think his is a spreadsheet plus a white chicken situation. 8
Tom208
Well, first week in D3. Started at level 317. Despite the advice of my clubmate DvDivXXX to demote, I decided to play this league normally and here are the results (actually, the screenshot has been taken this morning and I finally finished at the rank #42): No winnable fight without boosters, so, no choice : I used 20 legendaries boosters (2 ginseng / 2 cordyceps each time) 100 opponents -> 300 fights -> 182 wins and 118 losses I expected worse as a result when I started this league, given my low level for a D3. But I think it's not so bad afterall. I thought demote to D2 this week but finally I enjoyed this D3, so I try again this week. Good luck to everyone and especially to me (I need it 😄)

Still a lot of people whom I can't beat. Used my boosters stash this week again to amass some kobans. Super short on them lately. The league was won by level 424 Know-how player, (14 D1 wins, 9 D2 wins). Level 407 Know-how player was 2nd (10 D1 wins, 1 D2 wins).
