As some might have guessed from another thread, I didn't see massive whale Miccia coming on strong  in phase 2 with their lvl 750 full top team, and breathing down my neck despite being 45 player levels behind me still (although not for very long, that's for sure). I still won in the end, but this was a stressful inconvenience I could have happily done without. That league had no business giving me a hard time in any way, shape or form. But oh whale, it's good for the game's economy to have big real-money investors in new player form. Still, this took away a fair bit of my fun, which isn't cool.

New best personal records for average and total score, as well as my 4th D3 win. It cost me an arm and a leg, but still yay me I guess. I'm just not super excited that going all of the extra miles as I did, instead of taking that win for granted, not only proved absolutely mandatory to grab said win, but BARELY. Glad I did push myself in the end, even if it was originally just to see how far I could reach and not for a second expecting that I would actually need this to beat that squishy group.

Other than that, my predictions were spot on. @Moonlynx (Ari) made top 4 easy peasy even with his B- game as he had announced, and the gap between him and the lucky rando who snuck 4th place is uncanny. I mean, those scores are all so damn low for D3 someone made top 15 without even reaching 6k points. And yet, I grabbed the win by the skin of my teeth with barely 48 points on Miccia's bank account.... ^^

Heh, yeah. But there was a strange refill-mania going on in the Top15. Five players had basically done all their fights at least 2 days early. What was that? Maybe several people recognizing this as a very weak league, aiming for their first Top4? Anyway, congratulations to @amp_99(who instead did a lot of his fights in the last hours) - 8th place was his personal best till now. 4th is fabulous!

Congratulations to @DvDivXXX, too, of course. Oh, and sorry @HornyCat btw. Last week i said that I don't see any known names in the league except for DvDivXXX. Must have overlooked you somehow.

Well, 4th Top4 for me in a row. No matter the circumstances, I probably have to accept that I'm not too weak for these placings anymore. And if I subtract all handicaps out, I can even affirm that ''2.87 AM boosters'' (see DvDivXXX's post) might not have been enough to beat me (no, really!). I'm looking forward to future encounters, when we both are at our full power. This will be fun. :0)

Next week, I'm in a league with @Troctout. And despite quite a few strong contenders for the Top4, I allegedly have the second highest ''Total Power''. I still don't know how this is calculated and how meaningful this figure is. Gotta read up on it. But I expect my funny streak to finally end after this season.

Don't worry about me, I don't use AMEs. So I won't be a hard opponent at all.

And, yeah, I know about ''defence teams''. Hey, mine currently consists of some very weak ''summer girls''. Recently I went full@jelom, who once said: [...] the important part in leagues is how many points you can get, not trying to deny some points (15 at most) [...] and the rest of the players are not frustrated in leagues by being unable to win over high level players.

I like this mindset a lot. So I'm trying to have a different themed pseudo-defence team every few weeks now. If only one of my hundred opponents has fun because he sees some different girls than the usual 5- and 6-star monsters, it was totally worth it. And if someone's idea of fun is getting 3x25 points - that's fine with me, too.

(and I guess sometimes it's hard to catch me unboosted, so there's also a little bit of atonement in this)

Another Top 4, unexpected but I take it of course 🤑. Used 1 AME because of lasts week final fights. Sadly also this week no screenshot from me. I was late and also missed some fights at the end. Because of this and some good opponents #4 was a surprise. Seems like I estimated some of them wrong. But this week I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of strong players in my bracket. A top place will be hard or even worse not possible.

This time I missed Top45, but soon I will have a few more girls at level 700.
So I will stay in D3 (for now) and see if the results will get better or not.

Since I use only 1 legendary cordyceps booster now, it seems that I don't need to buy any in the market (or only a few), at least I hope so. But it has been like this for me only for six days - and no pantheon wall or else - so it's not quite sure.
Anyway I save a lot of kobans now that I would have spent for them.

The group ended being more difficult than I expected, but I didn't have time this week to do much optimization anyway (I started the Season in a 3 days long music festival after all  ). No AME used of course.

Finished 14th, w/ a 6187 score, & 20.83 avg score.  It's my 7th time in DIII's top 15.  I recognized @Rylarth and @Yamiray.  Hey 👋🏽!  Last I checked, Rylarth was 5th, w/ ~10 hrs remaining.  We were ranked 1-5th all week.  I think Yamiray was hanging out in the top 45.  Didn't get to SS the final rankings, but my experiment was a success.

Hypothesis (based on @DvDivXXX's advice)
Can I finish in the top 15, w/o using 1 AME, and constantly using 2 gin + 1 cord?  Instead only using 3 ginseng, except when doing strategic refills w/ 3 cordyceps?

Teams
I used a 150.1k exhibitionist team on offense in phase 1, and either a submissive/voyeur 167.1k, or a 178k voyeur team on offense in phase 2.  Always tried to leave a 149.5k-164.9k balanced team on defense.  Most players left their strongest voyeur team on defense, but I'd rather not give them an additional 20% crit chance.

Boosters
I used 3 gin most of the time, 3 cords twice, & 0 AME.  3 cords, once for the blessings change on weak defenses, when I used 2 refills, and once near the end, to finish off difficult opponents. Using 3 cords gave ~20k more atk, than using 3 gin, but I think I can get away w/ just using 3 gin constantly.

Refills
Used 4 refills total (60 extra fights), 2 at the start, b/c all of the tempting weak defense teams, and 2 right after the blessing change.  Phase 2's blessings were much nicer (69 35%, voyeur 30%).  Used the 3rd refill before the global snapshot, and the 4th refill right after.  The 4 refills made my net profit just 2130 kos, which is about the same as finishing in the top 30, w/o refills or buying boosters.  I had fun experimenting w/ strategic refills vs. an AME, so it's alright.  4 refills is a bit too much, b/c I was ranked 1st or 2nd the whole week, which is too high profile.  I also ran out of opponents an entire day early, so I know it was excessive.  1 or 2 refills is the sweet spot for koban profits, but I doubt I would've finished in the top 15, w/ just 2 refills.  Since, timing the 3rd and 4th refills for right after the blessings change, when I had a huge advantage, is probably what let me stay in the top 15.

Conclusion
I can finish in the top 15 w/o an AME, and using less cordyceps, but had ~300 kos less profit, from using 4 refills.  Had 3 less defeats.  Finished 14th, instead of 13th, but w/e.  Still gained 4.1k kos in the past 3 days, from daily missions, PoP, and Leagues, after getting Magical Noemy from the MD, so it's all good.

Future Plans
I don't like next week's blessings (rare 25%, jack hammer 20%).  I want to try only using 3 gin, and at most 1 refill + 1 AME, for a 2247 kos profit.  If the outlook is too grim, I'll scrap that plan, and just claim an easy top 30th place, for a similar 2160 kos profit. 

My strongest team next week has just 138.1k total power.  Even if I maxed 7 of my girls w/ the highest potential, they'd just have 143.7k total power.  Plus, 30% of my opponents are lvl 500 this week. 

There's also gonna be a new L5 league girl Janine Li.  I assume competition will be fierce for her, since she's a gorgeous MILF, and a parody of Masaki Kurosaki, Ichigo's mom, from Bleach.  Maybe the game designers are expecting hype for the upcoming Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War.  It makes me hopeful for a future mythic Lola.

I was the 1st 30 minutes before the end of the league but rayley still had some fights to do apparently. I don't know if he used some mythic boosters but anyway I don't expect a 1st place without using them (even if it may happen sometimes), so I'm ok with this top 4.

Disappointed with my performance this week. My new strategy should have (in theory) allowed me to finish much stronger than I have in the past. Yet last weeks avg of 23.31 was way better than my 23.05 avg for this week. This week I made no logical mistakes yet the critical hits not only denied me of battle sim averages but in two cases handed me a loss. The good news is that I did advance another level and improved my equipment before the end of the week (first time that has happened in several months). I'll finish in the top 4 again, but I was really hoping for better this time around.

Better placement as I thought most time of the week. I could use my small chance for a top4 and I'm very happy about. I used one AM Booster and most of the time 3 Cordyceps, one day I used 2 Gin, 1 Cordy.

Another tight one. 30 minutes before the end, 11th was still within reach (5906 points). I waited with 15 fights, but then it became clear I wouldn't make it.

A fairly simple league which is what I was hoping for because these two blessings were really bad for me. Still Prince J did put up somewhat of a fight with their partially level 750 teams and also I didn't manage to track them well. Nowadays I have a guideline of spending at least as much in boosters as my toughest competitor and assume they are using AMEs unless it's very clear they are not. No trying to be super fancy with underspending, because when that backfires, it backfires spectacularly. That's maybe partially also why last week I got a fair bit bigger score than needed.

Statistics
My score: 7473 (100.177% of the score with completely average luck)
Expected score: 7459.8

If I had been using the following booster combinations for the duration of the league but with the same fight timing decisions, these would have been my completely average luck scores:

Well.. this week was strange to say the least: I surprisingly lost my hh league to Morimoto (I kinda underestimated him.. I guess I shouldn´t have cheaped out on boosters after last weeks win) pretty high score for a 2nd but the score on nutaku is equally as low for a 1st so I guess that´s ok
 

However: my little consoldation price of 4 orbs for losing my hh league got me this   (I´ll take that loss ) :

Finished 18th this week, w/ a 6007 score, and a 20.02 avg.  I knew the 2nd phase's blessings sucked (rare +25%, jack hammer +20%), so I didn't use any cordyceps, or an AME.  Just 3x ginseng all week.  I was planning to get an easy top 30.  After the blessings change, there were so many tempting voyeur teams on defense (at least 20), that I succumbed to their allure, and spent 746 kos on 4 refills.  Which made my net profit just 1420 kos. 

I finished all of my fights 1.5 days early.  I remember my last 15 opponents being super difficult.  Near the end, I used a dominatrix/sensual team, to try and mitigate low scores from my expected losses.  I thought I might still finish in the top 15, but alas, I was short by 67 points.  I was in 15th place, until the last 1 hr 44 mins.  Looks like I would've finished top 15 in @bolitho76 or @holymolly's brackets, so maybe my bracket was just difficult. 

I recognized fellow forum members @Zteev & @Yamiray.  Within the last hour, I watched Zteev rise up from 18th to 14th, and Yamiray fall from 29th to 32nd.  I captured a rankings screenshot, 3 min before the end.

I've realized that w/o good blessings, Mythics are all I can rely on, and if they're capped at level 700, that obviously puts me at a disadvantage, against players w/ them at lvl 750.  It ends up being a 139k team vs a 149k team.  Not for much longer though.  I'll unlock lvl 750 next month.  Just need 2.9 mil GXP...

Anyway, I think I've learnt my lesson.  After using 4 refills, 2 weeks in a row, and getting mixed results, I'll try a different strategy this week.  It looks like I'll have a 144k balanced team w/ next week's blessings (Sagittarius +30%, & sodomy +20%), using 3 M6s, 3 L5s (+30%), & 1 C5 (+30%). 

Even though my profits were just 1.4k kos this time, I'm not lacking kobans.  I have 11.5k kos, 0 SP, and I'm not going to pursue Golden Lupa's MDR, so I'll just keep saving for Aug 3rd's new MD, and HM Arcana's MDR on Aug 23rd.

Not much to say, this unfolded exactly as I expected with no surprise or suspense. I could have spent less for sure, but I'm not good at admitting defeat and not even trying to challenge the favorite.

But yeah, Tony had basically the top team at max level in Phase 1 and a slightly stronger team than mine even in Phase 2 (and bigger stats from our 4 level difference and his likely optimized max level equipment) plus he never ever ever let me catch him unboosted (resulting in my couple of losses last night).

Laura used to be a fierce opponent and regular winner, but has fallen quite a bit behind in the girl level race, and the rest of the field was basically food to the three of us anyway.

Unfortunately my work schedule is not suitable for reset time at the moment, so another week without screen from me, but thanks @bolitho76for your screen. At least I have an overview now.

It was clear that there is not a good chance this week for a top result, so I didn't care much and spend some Chlorellas It's crazy, I have more than 1000 of this booster type. I guess you guys have even more. Hopefuly I have an easier bracket this week, but I think it will be just a cheap Top 15, whatever comes, because I'm off a few days.

At the start of the league, I had the feeling that top 4 won't be guarantee without mythic boosters since I identified at least 4 other players eligible for top 4 (govenants, sinnet89, Erin and Daniel). Anyway, I decided to perform this league without mythic boosters (I prefer to enjoy free season fights for the current Path of Valor).
In the end, I was right but that was very close 😵
